  • (G) Mastering Fletching and Aoenala

I have decided to go ahead and choose fletching as my Tradeskill (I have grown both my Brewing and Baking) but upon reading the info on this site I discovered that I can only go higher than 200 (sans AA's) on one tradeskill so as a Ranger I have stumped for Fletching (Currently at about 120).

I have a question though, for years I have always looked at this Aoenla Darkwood and since returning to EQ about 3 months ago I rediscovered it and found out that this stopped being updated around Luclin. I attempted to contact the Webmaster, but the email was bounced back.

    I was wondering if

    1) There is a higher arrow guide that Triv. 202?
    2) Is there a quick route to a higher setting (like baking with Lion Fillets and Patty Melts)?
    3) Did Aoenla Darkwood stop playing EQ to stop updating her excellent site?
    5) Will I ever learn to count?

    Thanks

    1) www.eqrangers.com has always maintained a good low-cost fletching guide.

    2) Quick route? No such animal but if you're a Wood Elf then Mithril arrows are one option but expensive.

    3) *puts out an APB on Aoenla Darkwood. Use of violence is authorized.*

4/5) You will definitely learn to count with fletching *fail fail fail fail fail fail success....*

      1) Sadly EQRangers is no more (can you recommend anywhere else)
      2) Booooo!
      3) Won't work she can hit you from at least 150
      6) Agree on the counting...What is with all those fails when you are two lvls from turning it too a green.

Thanks and thanks for the WB

1.) taelosian arrows will take you to 222 or 227 (Cant remember)
then condensed arrows to 268 (alot of acrylia involved in this) and I recommend condensed shadows because they are the easiest of the 3 condensed items to farm.

at that point it gets downright EXPENSIVE for anyone. if you are a karana follower or woodelf, you can continue with arrows. if not good luck to you..

          1. As far as a guide, I don't know of one, but I find the Quick Trivial List for Fletching (sorted by trivial) has been a pretty good roadmap. Yes, there are several arrow types that trivial beyond 202.

          2. For the immediate future, get ye to Natimbi and gather many, many chunks of Taelosian Rock, which will be converted into Serrated Arrowheads, which can be used to make arrows that triv at 212 and 227.
Once at 227, get on down to Acrylia Caverns and farm your bow off. Acrylia arrows will take you to 268.
Beyond that, there are numerous possible recipes, none of which (other than store-bought bows to 282) could be considered easy to come by in large quantities, unless you are a worshipper of Karana or Feir`Dal (in which case you can use your cultural arrows to get to 300).

          3. I have seen her poking around on the Ranger's Glade from time to time, not sure if she still plays or not. She definitely no longer updates the site.
