Possible new path to 300???

Saw this info in another post. Anyone else in the beta trip over this yet?

There was a clockwork fletching vendor who sold what I think is a new book on making javelins. Last line in one of the descriptions said it is hard to fit the parts together and to expect about 50% failure (paraphrasing) - so maybe there is the path to 300 for fletchers now.

Please tell me where to find this vendor who has this book. The tradeskill vendors in PoK do not appear to have it.

Javelins have been smithed traditionally, however, I'm happy to test it.

I did see fletching components/molds as well as a book on smithing steel, which is a good sign for higher fletched items, indeed.

True, but they sometimes use various models for temporary vendors.

And yes, I should check there since it is the obvious thing =) checking...

Ok, I found the books and it does look promising. I'll do the combines shortly and check the trivials.

Btw, the comment in the book about 50% wasted just means that yield will be half the yield of the easier combines, not the failure rate.

Sorry I wasn't more specific - I found a research and a fletching vendor in the clockwork area in Coranthus Creep. As long as you stay in the non-creep clockwork area you should be able to find them. There are two bankers next to them as well.

There seem to be traders of some sort in The Undershore but I couldn't improve faction enough to where I could check to see if they were even vendors.

Posting about Javelins in its own topic, but it is not a path to 300, sorry.

There do seem to be, however, some arrow stuff that I have not before seen. No books on them, however, that I have found. Vane press etc.

Checked the vendors I could find, they were just general stuff merchants.

One more thing. There is an Arrow Vane Press, perhaps to make vanes. So, there hopefully are some new recipies still.
