  • Anything besides tipped acrylia arrows?

Currently at a 235 skill in fletching and trying to get to 300. But on my current server there is no condensed anything for sale, and am curious of another path to get to 282 then can start making bows.

    Thanks

If you are a wood elf, you've got Mithril Champion Arrows and if you follow Karana, you've got Steel Guardian Arrows

I'm a Troll Shadowknight that worships Innoruuk so I think those are out of the question, heh.

Condensed shadow is an easy farm.

Depending on how populous your server is, you should be able to get to the caves of Shadeweaver's Thicket and farm condensed shadow there. The heartbreaker being that they only drop from Shak Dratha, who only spawn if you correctly time your Gor Taku killing such that the respawn happens between 6am & 6pm (I think) game-time. Which, is, in turn, very difficult to gauge unless you have a friend or guildmate willing to /time for you (/time doesn't work on the moon). You should be able to get a stack or two in a solid night's hunting. More if your patience can stand waiting for another EQ day to roll over.

If you'd rather not farm greens, you could go to Akheva and kill Shak Dratha there. The kills are a little tougher, and the drop rate wasn't exactly sterling from my limited experience there, but at least you'd (probably) be getting xp there.

As for other options, bows and DoN arrows are about the limit of what's out there (as a Tunare-worshipping half-elf, I feel your pain). I strongly recommend acrylia arrows to 268 if you can stomach the farming.

          Good luck!

            Scarlet Desert for condensed flame

I had saved up over 80 stacks of condensed flame from my time spent hunting on the plateau in the scarlet desert with my main and all of my different alts since Luclin came out. I was out of bank space on all my alts. I had also been saving acrylia up. Over the last two days I have gone from 238 to 250 doing the flame tipped acrylia arrows. I have been averaging 1 skill up for every 40 combines. Int is at 285. I also sold a a large amount of the condensed flame to a buyer using the barter system in the bazaar. I still have plenty of condensed flame left but have run out of acrylia. I will do another run after I have saved up some acylia again. From my reading acrylia caverns is probably the best place to farm acrylia correct?

Yes.. AC is best for acrylia...
Shadow tipped acrylia triv at same level as flame, and are MUCH easier to farm... Fall off of level 30-35 mobs in shadeweavers thicket.

And from 282 on to 300, the recommended skilling path is trophies.

                Sad, isn't it?

                  but nice to get exp

But for those people who like to get exp while they farm the condensed flame the scarlet desert is nice since it has been a Hot Spot since 4/12/2005. You can solo pull the Tro Jeg once you hit level 56. Before that you can get more than one when you pull but you can harmony or pacify or FD split.

                    Condensed Farming

I have had what I consider an unreasonable blockage to farming Condensed Flame on the Plateau in The Scarlet Desert. The Wizard 2.0 Epic mob Elite Sun Revenant spawns up there (what the trigger or timer is, I do not know) and he kills my hunting char despite my attempts to avoid him completely. I also have no idea of when or how he will despawn.

This is, to my mind, a completely unreasonable state of affairs. The Epic mob should only be able to be spawned by someone at the appropriate point in the quest. Further, I feel that the mob should despawn within approximately half an hour or so if not engaged or defeated. There is a definite lack of reason here applied by SOE as these items may be applied by any race/class for skillup. Blocking the path is thoughtless and rude.

With respect to the ease of farming Condensed Shadow in Shadeweaver's, I have never seen any drop there in the caves. I was told by a friend that ME is the only place (well... and AR) to get the Condensed Shadow. I wish to have a fair quantity for a single run before making efforts to skill up. It seems that Sony does not wish to allow this.

I can get two cycles done on the mobs I want usually before the PHs spawn again. An EQ day is 72 minutes, so I just have someone (or if I have nothing else to do that day I'll do it myself) tell you when it first becomes 3pm and start your stopwatch so you know when to start killing again.
Yep, this is what I did as a Cleric, use AoE nuke to kill these guys. One cycle of night, I can clear about 3 room's worth easy, which yields about 1 - 1.5 stacks worth. Then I have to wait during the day time before the next cycle starts again. This is very doable farming, one of the easiest in game I dare say.

Just pop your fletching kit in the bank for a short while longer. I am sure that the issues with fletching are going to be sorted with the new expansion.
