  • Fletching abilities

I am fairly new at EQ (about 6 months) I have got my ranger to 48th lvl and I seem to be stuck at 198 with my fletching........what is the most important ability to raise the fletching skill? What is an acceptable ability score to see improvement? Any info is appreciated.

    thx

I'm sure this has been answered a billion times before, but I'll answer it now.

DEX, WIS, or INT, whichever is highest.

And, you're entering that stage where people say it takes 60-100+ combines for even one skillup.

    I'm glad I stopped at 185.

Hark! Who is that, prowling along the fields! It is Draggar De'VIr, hands clutching two hardened pitas! He cries gutterally: "In the name of Thor the Mighty, I hereby void your warranty, and send you back to God!!!"

As a ranger, the easiest stat to raise with gear and buffs is DEX, but DEX only affects fletching skillups. If you have any intention on working any other tradeskill, go with WIS gear.

Ask a shaman for focus or a dex buff, and then ask an enchanter to Boon of the Garou or Nights Dark Terror you. Your DEX should be about 40 billion then.

        Skill Ups

As a Ranger I believe your most important stat is wisdom. I finally got to 202 in Fletching. It took me 240 attempts to go from 197 to 202 at about 70pp per 20 attempts (Class 6 Wood Pt). Look in Bazaar for one of those tinkered Fletching tools...I don't know if it actually helps in raising your skill level but I think it helps in successful combines...at least it will give you more you can sell or use to recoup some of the cost. Get your wisdom as high as possible...gear, weapons, etc. And DON'T give up. I almost did until someone told me to stick with it.
