Special Poles

I'm having trouble finding a special pole to use for fishing. all i have is a collapsable pole and some animated bait from my tinkerer. is there something better out there?

Fishing in the Plane of Nightmare is still the hang up for me. Nasty things by the water keep attacking me. *sigh*

I haven't found a totally safe spot to fish in PoN yet but...

1) you can invis lev till you reach the middle of the river, sink down, hug the river bed (yes, underwater) and swim north slowly till you reach the cave entrance, swim in, and fish right where you surface. Don't run around or you'll aggro the hobs inside.

2) you can fish at the dock. If no one is camping there or training across (some bards do that), nothing will path near the dock.

I thought some of the hobgobs see through invis? Those guys are nasty. I just get invis and fish right near the zone in at the river to the south. None of the mobs see invis but when it drops, be ready to run to zone out quick.
