The smart player should always keep one slot open for times when you need to pickup a extra bag or use any of the right click items in an inventory slot. However, anytime you loot something it goes into that slot. I keep a Greater Lightstone there as a place holder. The new collapsible items are another GREAT use for keeping that extra slot open. They even can act as extra loot storage when you run out of space.

In your extra slot the smart happy fisherman would know that he can open one of collapsible fishing kit and make lures at anytime. But the BEST thing you can do is in one bag he can have a collapsible fishing kit, a "Fisherman's Companion", a stack of gunthak mackerel from Ocean of Tears, and a skinning knife. With the knife and mackerel you can make 5 bait from each fish. This allows you to carry many times the bait you could have normally. That makes 4 bag slots to allow fishing anytime and anywhere in the world.

As an avid quester having a slot that can be made free is quite important, but the more inventory space you have, the better.

Personally I have 8 traders satchels in the bank full of various items, then on my person I have a Rallic Pack, A Bag of Sewn Evil Eye (Both life savers for those heavy-heavy items that are worth so much to vendors) 5 Tailored Bags (Made them m'self), and one open slot most commonly filled by my collapsable sewing kit. Why the sewing kit? t has 8 slots (The most of any colapsable container) and most of my occational combines are of sewing nature (Threads, pelt conversions, leather padding)

Whenever a quest comes along (Or I really need a drink) I just destroy the re-summonable sewing kit and use the open slot for the quest container (Or Fisherman's Companion) and I'm good to go.

I'm gonna be one happy camper when LoY comes out with 8 more oo-ey gooing yummie bank slots!
