  • fishing for plat?

are there any fish that sell well? i know the vallorian discus(PoV) and the nightmare chiclid(PoN) sell well in baz because they make the fishermans companion. but i get tired of fishign the same zones. and i might as well make a few bucks while drinking beer.

Cobalt scar is good since people need cobalt cod in bulk for making wyvern armor for tailoring skill.

Iceclad ocean used to be decent when lots of people did the shawl quests. Only 3 are needed so this would be more for a short change of pace then anything else now.

You could also fish in Natimbi for crab & tuna since those are used for skilling up as well as to feed Riwwi slaves for faction.

I'd keep a stack of Kunzar Koi or even better ready made Kunzar glue on the trader. Fished in Old Sebilis.

Gulf is my first choice because you can make the following to cheaply raise you baking skills

          Sea Urchin Stew 148

          Grilled Eel 155

the other fish you catch has a lower level recipe as well

          Happy fishing

You could try fishing in the DoD zones, Blindfish Pale Ale uses tiny blind cave fish and Mossmatt Mead uses mossmatt. Both of these are fished from any DoD zone and used by brewers to skill-up on. They should sell in the bazaar pretty well. I know I'd be williing to buy a bunch to finish brewing on my cleric since I rarely have the time to sit and fish to get as many as I'd need.

If you do fish for cobolt cod, make sure you convert them to cod oil before you sell them to the makers of wyvern hide armour. You will add more value, and be able to ask more if you save the tailors a step in their recipies.

Cobalt Scar, PoV and PoN are the old stand-bys I would say.

                Boring, yes. But also profitable.

                  Fishing diversions

A couple places that were fun to fish in (I forgot all the odd items I fished up) and got some odd looks from ppl:

There are two to three holes in the frozen river in Everfrost peaks. If you position yourself just right you can toss a line into them.

In the water in the bottom of Crystal Caverns by the named spider.

In Plane of Growth by the waterfalls.

Below Qeynos in the sewers (Yuk)

During a timed LDON adventure to mess with the minds of the ppl in my group!

(Never could find a place in Dagnors Cauldron, I searched forever in there for a spot)

In Chardok somewhere, been many years

Estate Unrest fountain on the right side of the zone.

                  In the fountain in Kaladim

During EQ's 10th anniversary i finally did the old quests to get the fishing pail that summons the free bait. The perfect combo for Brells' fishing pole.

I use all three, that way you do not need to find a bait vendor to get started.

Bait Dispenser is the best. The bait it creates stacks to 250 which is awesome.

If you hve SOD, invis levi fishing in Old Blackburrow for Razorgill.. I would pay 100p per razorgill just to not have to fish a stack at a time. it takes FOREVER to get a stack or 3.
if you are on Fenninro shoot me an ingame message
