Fair Price for Anizok's Bait Dispenser?

I'm a bit confused about the price of Anizok's Bait Dispenser. I see it mentioned as being in the same line as the Anizok's Bandage device. However, on Povar/Morden Rasp, I am seeing this device in Bazaar for 4kpp. The bandage devices are anywhere from 30pp to 400pp. Is 4kpp way out of line or are the ingredients just that hard to come by? Thanks!

I paid 3k for mine 2 weeks after they came out.
Now when I see one in the baz it's usually between 1500 and 2000.

When DoD first came out I was making them in droves. The DoD dropped gnome gear was not widely farmed so there was a dearth of them on the market.

I would make them 10 at a time and sell them 4500-5000 and throw in free Fisherman's Companion bones for the quest and stack of 100 bait to get people started. They would disspear almost as soon as I advertised them.

Since the recipe and the materials were more easily available I have seen them as low as 400pp on Cazic Thule server. As an interesting side note I got 2 standard responses when I told people the price.

1) That's all? Super I'll take one, that's cheap!
2) WTF are you talking about? 5k? And all it summons is BAIT!!

Almost no-one haggled over the price. It was either and incredible bargain or scam-price depending on to whom you spoke.

Thanks for the replies. I've only seen one person selling them on Povar and he won't come off the 4kpp. I haven't done the math, but I'm guessing it would never pay for itself. I guess your just buying the convenience. Oh well, I don't mind using the fillet knife and doing it the old fashioned way. Thanks!

Yeah, it will never pay for itself but tradeskillers adore the convenience of essentially never running out of bait & allowing bait to stack up to 100.

I think you get ten baits for every lb of fish you put in the device.Haven't tried some of the 15lb fish in FV yet but i've gotten 72 baits off a fish i caught in devastation!

I got lucky on mine. I have a GM tinkerer friend who loves to try out new recipies. I got her the ingredients and she did the combine no cost.

Took a bit of farming, and I think some vendor diving, but I got all the stuff to her.

I love my bait dispenser! The perfect partner for the Fisherman's Companion, the combination will ensure free fishing for the rest of your natural life. I've been known to be feigned over in PoN or PoV and just fish for hours while waiting for groups (no one seems to want monks anymore). I invariabally have more bait when I get done than when I first started.

I'd say anywhere from 500-4k would be fair depending on if you are farming components or purchasing them in the bazaar, and if you are using them for skillups or simply for sale.

I've managed to find all the components in Bazaar and I have a Tinkerer friend who will give this a try. All of the components purchased in Bazaar totaled just a shade under 600pp. I spent a lot of time on skilling up my fishing this weekend and it would really have been nice to have those stacks of 100.
