Fishing 200+ ?

Someone today tried to tell me that Fishing goes up to 250 now ~ did I miss this info? The FAQ still says Also the maximum skill one can get in Fishing is 200. . Anyone?

I don't think so, 200 is still the cap as far as we know. Did the person say that they have 250 skill or that they heard that it goes to 250 now?

I know I was worried about it the other day, my reference was Casters (which is no reference at all compared to here), I'd be much MUCH happier to know it's locked at 200 actually: I've lottsa work to do on smithy - and at the same time would love to trivial all the bone producing receipes. ( I know it's a twisted way to view perfectly good Food, but those darts now.... that's something altogether different )

The AA listings for the Taanan Craft Mastery AA (or whatever it's called) list the skills you can pay AA to bring over 200 once you have one skill over 200. Fishing is NOT listed there, and that is the only way I would think to break the 200 barrier in actual skill.

210 with a 5% item seems to be the limit, a bit higher if the ammo item actually also improves the skill check (fishing lures), ie stacks with the fishing pole skill mod, which I have heard it doesnt.

I have been fishing in Cobalt Scar for a while now with 200 skill and no skillups. So it would be safe to say that fishing is maxed at 200.

It seems pretty easy to test. If I recall correctly, fishing isn't one of those 'You must improve out in the field' skills at trainers, so just try to get one more point from 200 at a trainer.
