Large Fetid Bass redux

I recently did quite a lot of fishing on the docks in Firiona Vie and found something that I had never noticed before. There are Large Fetid Bass with three different IDs, and near as I can tell none of them are good for anything except eating or selling back to the merchant so I can buy more bait and fishing poles.

Does anyone know why this is?

There are also several oddball fish there that don't seem to be good for anything, as well as a couple of no drop non-stackable fish. Any info would be appreciated.

The different "large" bass have differnet weights.
I can't say I know what they are for however.

There is a whole range of wieghts from tiny to humungous (or something like that)

The different weights are a factor when making fishbones for darts. Some of the lighter catches won't work.
