It came as a complete surprise to me, but I got 2 skillups almost back to back in the middle of a conversation with a friend. 199 and 200 in Cobalt Scar my very first day of fishing there. I'd even forgotten you get skillups from fishing. The RNG was on my side and for a few hours I spent some of the most enjoyable time I've ever had fishing.
My husband doesn't get it. "How can you just sit there and push that button?" Trying to explain it's more than just pushing the button didn't seem to work. That evening when I set up trader and made 2000 pp in about 5 minutes from the fish convinced him. And sadly, that's not why I was fishing there. I was fishing to...well...you know...fish. Commune with nature. Watch the water. And bury the poor Ottermen when some hunter came and wiped them all out.
Happy. Going back tonight before I go on my real life vacation. Hope to see you there some time. I'll buy you a beer.
