  • Does anything summon bait?

Okay, I've recently started becomming an avid fisherman. I got my fisherman's companion for unlimited poles (and beer). I like to go fishing in unusual places, even dangerous ones. Places like the Planes, Gunthak, and even EW.

Being a monk has it's good things and it's bad things. Good thing is that I can feign and fish all I darn well want to without getting jumped by anything. Bad thing is that if I pick up too much weight, I start to loose a BUNCH of AC for when I want to go back home, or trying to get to where I want to fish.

One of the biggest issues I have is bait. Once I run out of bait, I have to go back for more. And being a monk, I can't carry a bunch or I start loosing AC (if nothing else than from the containers, much less the grubs). So I ask, is there anything that summons bait, or is there any way to produce bait on-site? I'd really love to be able to go fishing for hours on end somewhere interesting like PoN, but I keep having to go back for more bait.

    Any tips?

Being a monk fisherman myself, I will offer some advice. I see in your signature that you are lvl 54...at that level your FD skill should be pretty high and not fail all too often. So heres my advice...LOAD UP on the bait as much as you can...keeping a few empty slots for the things you fish up. As long as your not encumbered (ie running slow) you should be fine to get to anywhere to buy more bait and sell off the boobie loots. Your AC dropping is not going to affect you that much unless you are trying to tank something on your way back to buy more bait...which you shouldn't be doing anyway. But even if you DO end up getting jumped by a mob........FD

As far as I know there is nothing that summons bait.

Nothing I know of summons bait. You can make your own bait, but by having the Companion it makes no real sense, because modifiers do not stack. Yes almost all, if not all, bait that's player made has some kind of modifier up to 4%. I wouldn't worry about your AC unless your trying to fight your way out like the person above me said. You're there to fish so fish, forget about AC. Player made bait I stopped making becuase the silk drop was nerfed so it wasn't worth it to waste a thread that costs so much and make a lure that'll just give to a noobie anyways.
