/doability for fishing

I thought I could make a little macro for fishing while at my screen like this:

/doability 1 (that's where my fishing ability is)
/autoinventory

Well, my line casts, but it doesn't autoinventory. I tried placing a line /pause 9 in between the above two lines, thinking that it can't autoinventory til the fishing button pops back up, but that didn't work either.

I did it for foraging on another toon, so thought I should be able to do it for fishing too.

Someone has the answer to this--I know it! :P

You're on the right track, but I don't think 9 is long enough. The pause # is tenths of a second (so 9 = 9/10 sec) I haven't timed it myself, but I'm pretty sure it's longer than that. Basically, you have to wait until there's something on your cursor (i.e. the button came back up) for /autoinventory to be useful.

/pause 108,/doability 2 (myfishing)
/autoinv
/pause 108,/doability 2
/doability 3 (forage)

The 108 is 10.8 seconds; the number you need will vary a bit depending on your lag.

If I get both a forage and a fish on the end run, I have to manually inventory or I will miss the first cast the next time. I do this in E. Karana, raising fishing while also harvesting tea leaves.

umm, your making it too complicated...

/doability X

and it doesn't lock you up every time while you fish.

Yes, but yours only gives you 11 seconds to type a response here while fishing.
