  • How do I Travel to Nedaria's Landing?

OK...from the mainland Antonica, how do I get to Nedaria's Landing? Is Nedaria's Landing a zone...or is this landing part of the Abysmal Sea zone? I understand that form Nedaria's Landing there is a dock that goes to the Abysmal Sea boat.......but is Nedaria's Landing and Abysmal Sea 2 separate zones?
Can you fish from the dock in Nedaria's Landing also or is the Abysmal Sea boat better?
****But mainly....how do I get to the Nedaria's Landing? I hear about Magus, what is a Magus and where do I find them?

If you don't have LDON, you have to run through Jaggedpine to get to Nedaria's Landing. And if you don't have Gates of Discord, you can't go to Abysmal Sea at all.

A Magus is an NPC at each of the LDON camps. They sell items like a regular vendor, but they can also port you to the other LDON camps, if you have an Adventure Stone. Not sure if all of them can port you to Nedaria's Landing, but I know the one at the Butcherblock camp can. The Magus there is a female halfling.

Nedaria's Landing is a zone for players around the mid-20's, iirc. But the port-in from a Magus is well away from any mobs. When you port in, look for a pier or dock farther to the south from the one close by. The boat comes to that dock and goes straight to Abysmal Sea.

The Abysmal Sea zone is a huge city in the water, and you can fish right where the boat from Nedaria's Landing arrives. Not sure if you can place from any other spot, though.

Our third account was able to use the Maguses to travel around even before we activated LDoN on it. So I'd try hailing a Magus and asking for Nedaria's, even if you don't have LDoN.

The Magus in Butcherblock is a gnome, btw.

Yeah, while I can't confirm it personally, I have heard you don't need LDoN to use the Magus teleport system. However, you might need to do the quest still.

I can confirm that YES, you can use the porters in the LDoN camps without having the expansion, but YES you do need to do the quest for the adventurer's stone before the magus will port you, regardless of whether or not you have LDoN.

            quest

How do I do the quest for the adventurer's stone? What zone and npc start it and how hard is it?
Even if you have LDON...do you still need to do this quest?

Look up "Adventurers Stone" on the Allakhazam search page and then follow the link to the quest to get it. Dead easy and will only take you 5 to 10 mins to finish depending on where you're home town is.

Yesterday I ran my lvl 8 druid over to Abysmal Sea so he could fish ... he didn't have enough plat to buy his lvl 9 spells, but 2 hrs off fishing off the Queen of Thornes netted him 124 plat, he was able to gate back to PoK and buy his lvl 9 and lvl 14 spells.

The run isn't that bad if you have invis (and it holds) ... take the PoK book to Qeynos, run to Surefall, zone into JaggedPine, run to the basalisk cave and swim to the Nedaria zone, then run to the docks and wait for the boat ...
