Argh! Wretched land sharks!

After a frustrating and unnecessarily lengthy time spent fishing in PoStorms, I'm looking for tips on how to avoid getting the 'land sharks' message.

I've tried:

-leving
-taking lev off
-sitting
-fishing on the wrecks
-fishing on the grass
-fishing in the water
-fishing with inventory open
-fishing with inventory closed
-pointing deeper into the water
-looking at the sky

WHEREVER I sit (or stand) and whatever my view, land sharks seem to be a random occurrence... I finally decided to change position when I had a run of three sharks messages. I must have tried 50 different positions.

At one point I had a theory that if my cursor wasn't hovering over water (ie, interface, land, chat box) I'd get the message. But that doesn't follow through.

It's driving me nuts, can anyone help?

I always stand partway in the water and angle myself a bit to the left or right. This seems to work w/o a problem.

Aye I also stand with my feet in the water when fishing (if I can). You can also try to Lev and go out over the water a way and start fishing.

I lev over the pond to fish in PoS, it can be quite annoying in that zone. Lev works beautifully.

Yes I scroll back the camera to ensure that the water is at least partway up my calves, and then I don't have a problem.

hehe like tinile. i'm getting greengill in tox forest. run out to the middle of the river with lev up. works like a charm.

If you swim to the broken sunken ship just in front of the zone in, you can walk out to the bow and fish to hearts content without getting the land shark message.
