Unable to test this at the moment (at work) but can someone give it a try?

/doability #
/pause 10, /autoinventory
/pause (figure out the pause between casts), /doability #

Also forage macro (note 60 second limit on pause command):

Tried this off and on for about 20 minutes on my fishing shammy.
First, /autoinventory worked beautifully when i typed it in all by itself. Methinks just a hotkey with that will aid my forager.

Second - I have never been able to get the /pause command to work unless it was on it's own line....so....I had trouble there.

It did work for me in the following format and pause lengths. Now if only I could convince that pause to work on the same line.....

/doability 2 (for me was fishing)
/pause 100
/autoinventory
/pause 10
/doability 2

You have to remember where the pause occurs when on the same line. The pause occurs after the command that follows it in the line. It works great for me, always has.

Pause works in action macros for you on same line?

I thought it only did that for spells.

The working macro:

/pause 120, /do x (fishing)
/autoinventory
/pause 120, /do x (fishing)
/autoinventory
/do x (fishing)

(-> watch the spaces)

The macro casts the line three times and bags the first two results. If you dont like to bag the third result yourself, use only the first four lines of the macro.

foraging works the same way.

Only problem I see is that when you have something in ya hand you cant fish.. I prefer to have

/autoinventory
/do some fishin
/autoinventory
/do some fishin

This way I can spam the key every min or so and it works if somethng is in my hand or not. I have my fisherman/forager on a second computer so I have it fishin away during raids and in the 5th line I put:

/tell <Name of Main> Times uo hit the button.

never knew about /autoinventory.

So many commands and they don't publish them all.

You could use something like Game Commander and use your voice while boxing something else. It also was supposed to allow looping

fishin macro works good and i love the autoinventory... I have mine set up for

/do ability (fish)
/pause 150
/autoinventory

by that time the fishing button has repopped and is ready to go

I only do one round per press, never know when you are gonna get jumped in the PoS.... Storm Salmon.... hmmmmm

Is there any way to get the macro to keep going? As in, I can go afk for extended periods of time while it whiles away? Also, I have a question about the forage. The first posted forage macro didn't work for me, but neither did it work for fishing when I tried it. However,

/do x (fishing)"

does work for me. But what should I put in the pause spaces instead? 600? I tried that and it didn't work. Thank you for your help.

newb macroer post. can you put in a line that says /hit hotbutton 2 or something like that. and put the macro button in the #2 slot so it will wrap. basically so i can pee or chat without worrying about it. i'd never leave my comp up for nothing but fishing.

eniamn: No. They don't want folks to do stuff unattended. And ... I kinda don't want folks to do stuff unattended either =p

As long as i'm here, though. I put together a macro for my forager, for when i'm doing other things. It doesn't quite work right. It appears to double the value of pause, and the macro will work properly ONLY when the window showing the script is showing.

/pause 300,/do 1 (forage)
/pause 240,/autoinventory
/pause 300,/do 1 (forage)
/pause 240,/autoinventory
/r time to forage! (sends a tell to whichever character i'm on now)

My timer shows forage refresh to be 1 minute 40 seconds.

this macro does the following:

forage
pause 1 minute, drop into a bag
pause 50 seconds, forage again
pause 1 minute, drop into a bag
pause 50 seconds, forage again
/reply to whomever

If i close the macro window, this script will forage once, eventually drop the forage into a bag, and then /tell me, without executing the second forage command.

Any ideas? Only thing I can think of is, ever clock i've got is messed up =p

You've just got the pauses wrong. 300 pauses for 30 seconds, not a minute.

Each 10 in a pause is equal to one second. Further explanation from sony is available here

Thanks for your reply Dryanna! I guess i was unclear.

I meant to say, that the text as i have it written there, is not doing what i expect it to do. That 300 you see? Actually pauses for 60 seconds. That 240? actually pauses for 50 seconds. So, I can't tell if my clocks are all screwed up, or if there's been a change, or if lengthy pauses are different? I tried a shorter, test pause:

/pause 20,/do 2 (hide)

This actually waits 4 seconds on that machine, then /hides.

That machine is a 4 year old computer, it lags to death with any "features" turned on.

Is the pause function being severely slowed down by my poor, old computer?

I haven't messed around with /pause on my main machine yet.
