  • new brewing guide - used 3 times successfully so far

Since there are very few brewing guides on the site, I thought I would send in mine.. and this is where it told me to send it =)

    Short Beer to 31 (anywhere)

    Short Ale to 51 (anywhere)

    Ale to 68 (anywhere)

Vegetable Oil to 102 (anywhere, requires foraged vegetables)

Ol'Tojim's Fierce Brew to 135 (Halas)

2 stacks of 2x Brewed 2xStout Dwarven Ale

Ginesh to 168 (Halas, requires foraged vegetables)

Faydwer Shakers to 188 (High Pass)

Minotaur Hero's Brew to 200 or 248 (Halas)

Kaladim Constitutionals to 250 (PoK or Thurgadin recommended)

The trivials are a little ways apart, but the success rate is alright, I always sold everything right back to the merchant. With 237 Wis and no c3 or other buffs (including cha OOPS) this was managed with around 500pp.

If doing Kaladim Constitutionals to get those last two points, keep one VERY important thing in mind.. Those Yarrows make 6 per combine, and they are EXPENSIVE. The general consensus at this time is that 2 stacks of combines on these should get you your last two points.

My advice is to gather the fungus and mushrooms for as many stacks as you want to do that day, and make your fermented yarrow for the first two stacks, and see if that will do it, if not, make enough for 1 more stack, combine, ect. At 120 CHA in PoK, the merchant will give it to you for approx 583pp a stack.. and will buy it back for around 25pp... that kind of loss hurts.

Enjoy, and I hope at least someone finds this useful.

    Actually...

Actually, there's a section on the boards here set aside specifically for guides and UI mods, etc...

    http://mboards.eqtraders.com/upload/...?s=&forumid=85

It's got at least one brewing thread going in it atm...

However, back to yours, I made some changes when I pushed my wizard to 250. I was going for all store bought generally, and specifically, places where you could get everything you needed for the recipe in ONE zone (accept for KC's). I'll list the zones I did the brewing as well.

    ************************************************

    Fetid Essence -122 (PoK)

    Ol Tujim's Fierce Brew - 135 (WFP)

    2x Brewed 2x Stout Dwarven Ale - 142 (Kaladim)

    Faydwer Shakers - 188 (EFP)

    Minotaur Hero's Brew - 248 (Ak Anon)

    Kaladim Constitutionals - 250 (Kaladim & PoK)

    ***********************************************

Fewer recipe's, no foraging, though a fair bit of running around to different zones. This was the cheapest way I could find to do it, though your method works just as well, especially if the brewer can forage eh?

Im at 198 right now and only taking it to 200. It can easily be done in 4 recipes.

Fetid essence to 122 - I did this before PoK and ran between Erudin and Kerra Ridge.

Skull Ale to 151 - The skull can usually be found in the bazaar(at least on Lanys) for under 50p. Easy recipe as well.

Faydwer Shakers to 188 - Easy and storebought, I did it in Freeport.

Mino Hero Brew to 200 - Freeport as well.

All cheap, easy, and storebought. Except for the skull.

Edit: For those that dont know, the skull comes from "an undead cyclops" in SK and is just called "a cyclops skull"
