  • Minotaur Hero's Brew... When to start?

I am slowly getting to Ol' Tujim's Fierce Brew Trivial Level (135).

Would it be ok to switch directly to Minotaur Hero's Brew or do I have to make Faydwer Shaker inbetween?

    Thanks in advance!

Put off Hero's Brew as LONG as possible. If you can do ANYTHING else conveniently, do it. Faydwer Shakers are convenient; do them.

      depends

I would say it all depends on how much money/effort you want to put in to things. With all tradeskills, your skill goes up faster if your current skill reasonably close to the trivial of what you're making; usually within 20 points is a good idea.

I personally would go with Faydwer Shakers at your level now, because hero brews are such a pain in the ass with 9 components, and your skill wouldn't go up as fast with them.

General rule of thumb, go with the cheapest recipe with the fewest components that's closest to your trivial level.

Or acquire a cyclops skull and do Skull Ale to 151. They are commonly available in the bazaar here in Inny for 25p - 50p. Skull ale is very, very easy. If you have good Rivervale faction, jumjum beer is also a viable route to 162.

There is no reason to do mino brew until it is unavoidable. Save your wrists and the payments to your physical therapist until it's the only thing left you can do.

          Thanks alot all...

Will look up the recipes for jumjum beer and cyclops brew...

But I guess I will just do Faydwer Shaker since everything is in one place over at HPH.

          Thanks again

If you dont mind a little collecting time (it's not very much trust me) Shar Vahl Essence is a great way to get to 188. There's a whole thread about it here:

I would reccomend the essence too. If you take the time to mark your map with the locs once and visit the brew barrel on the way it's perfect!

I'm completely sold on the jumjum and shaker route. Make shakers and succeed or fail get a bazillion bottles. Bottles are perfect, now make jumjum beer till bottles run out. 4x's on the bottles, 10x's on the beer... and you wanted to make picnics anyhow
