  • Mana Mixer and Mana Daquiri

Have question is this even good to make when we are oom? for mana mixer it says
Effect: +75 mana, -20 int. wis, and -10 sta

    mana daquiri;
Effect: +75 mana, - 15 int and wis
not making to sell, just thought would it be good to have on person if we oom and need that extra 75 mana vs the int/wis modification drop.
    any suggestion?
or should we just med for couple seconds? :P

If I read it correctly, that's +75 mana pool, right? If you are oom, you'd still be oom, no?

IIRC, bonuses directly to stats take effect immediately. i.e. if a ring adds 20 hp, it increases both max and current hp the moment you put it on. If, on the other hand, the ring increases your STA by 5 points, then your maximum hp will go up, but your current hp will only increase by healing/regeneration.

Likewise, I would hazard a guess that an item that directly increases mana will increase both current and maximum mana when equipped, while an item that has an effect on wisdom or intelligence will only have an effect on the maximum mana limit.

Something to keep in mind, however, is that when the equipment that increases your stats is removed, the directly affected stats go down as well. Ergo, equipping and then removing a +hp ring 20 times in rapid succession will not fill your hp bar back up.

I could be wrong on that, however.

forgive me if im wrong, but I dont think these are actually IN game.

Werent these created as a suggestion for new drink items that COULD be added?

Wouldnt want someone to waste their time.

              Eumerin,

You're a bit off. If something raises mana/hp by a specific number, it only raises the cap, not your current mana/hp. You still have to regen the mana/hp.

Best way to see this is after being resurrected. Equip a bunch of +mana items, your mana bar isn't impacted in the least bit.

                re

for HP you receive the HP immediately (if its + raw HP ), for mana you have to med it back.

That makes sense, prevent the exploit of removing mana items when OOM, putting them back on, having just enough mana to cast a spell, rinse, repeat. It be horrid on the game, but I have to say it WOULD be fun for a bit to pretend my ranger is in an action show like A-Team; semi-auto nuke that never runs out of ammo (and being a ranger, does just about as much damage as the explosion in that show do).

I do think the game needs a mana drink that can recover the mana to someone from a death.

Rez gives back some HP and with a CH it makes a fighter able to continue the battle were a caster gets to wait. He cant sit and med without a mount due to aggro and he has no mana to cast any spells to contiune the fight.

I say the add a mana drink that can only give a limited amount of mana back so the caster can do something in a battle rez. I say that the drink steal it's power from HP for balance were a caster would need a CH after a battle rez and then this drink. and make the conversion a bad rate for balance.
