  • Tea leaves...

I am not exactly sure how current the forage table on the site here is, due to the fact that it doesn't list a lot of current uses for forages. My big question is, is East Karana still the only place to forage up Tea Leaves? I just GM'd brewing and wanted to celebrate by whipping up a couple batches of Afternoon Tea and am having NO luck finding the darn leaves. Any info or advice is nice, thanks.

PS... I am on Xev if you got some rotting in the bank and wanna help.

    Yes, it is.

BTW are you evil enough or gnome enough to buy the kings thorn?
    and can you make cream?

My druid is 30th level with a foraging of 132 + 10% from the foraging machete... I forage an average of maybe 4 tea leaves an hour. And yes, as far as I'm aware, EK is still the only place to forage these.

I just did a small run of Tea a couple days ago. 22 tea leaves, with someone giving me 4 for some buffs too me 2 nights. I'm lucky though. There are a few Light Blue Crag spiders, and Theoris Bladespur is still yellow *grin*. So, while I forage, I kill only things that give me XP as well. That way I don't get TOO bored.

As I keep saying EK is noraths supermarket.

Don't just forage tea there, you can collect pebbles for cultural stuff, kill cats and wolfs for pelts for tailoring or pottery, kill griffons for the wings to make the tea

          etc etc

I agree; EK is a great farming zone for trade skills. Even when it’s too crowded for hunting silks there are still all kinds of items to farm. I even kill the bandits and the camp of gnolls for faction when I pass by.

I am on Xev and I use my druid with 200 foraging with the machette to forage these and usually can get about 6-8 per hour. As for King's Thorn, I created a Gnome just so I can get that in Steamfont. Good luck, I only have about 5 left in my bank otherwise I would help you out.

I am very confused about references to the King's THorn vendor. I am not evil at all, and also not gnome, yet have always been able to deal with her. She is selling anti-undead poison bits, seems to me that would be a good trait. Oh well, for whatever reason, I've never had issues with her.

Also, I'm a halfling rogue. So foraging isn't an option and I sure as heck won't pay the insane prices folks are asking in the bazaar. Guess I won't be making any tea then; that's a bummer.

Oh, and you folks left out in your list of goodies in EK the occasional Hill Giant to spice up the purse.

Tea Leaves don't sell well on Xev. No one is willing to buy them at high price, therefore, few are willing to forage to sell. Took me 3 days to sell 2 stacks. Better off foraging other things.

Why would anybody pay that much for them? I mean, each leaf yields 6 teas. Each tea will sell for, on average, 10 plat on Xev. So for a leaf I can get 60 plat. Now, most of that is profit cause the sub-combines yield so many items. But, presented with a chance to make 60 plat, would ANYBODY pay 80 plat??

And don't whip out the buying skill ups thing. If you are skilling on tea, your brain is broke.

Oh well. Dead horse I guess. Thanks much folks. Happy combining!
