celestial essence

I have read up on these boards on making tempers. I want to make mistletoe temper and see the ingredients celestial essence. It seems that this is a rogue made poison and I have looked for it in the bazaar. I see several essences of different types and I assume that they are for different armor tempers. Can anyone be more specific on this and let me know how to aquire a stash of this, there didn't seem to be much quantity for sale in the bazaar.

I went through this with Coldain Velium Tempers! I did a little research, and found out the stuff is pretty easily made thus:

Celestial Solvent - Dashelo Dalroshan (-744, 10) Bazaar
Scent of Marr - Lyth Spellstar (269, 4906) East Commonlands
combined in: Mortar and pestle - Ciren Darkbog (-131, 1421) PoK

I never actually did it, since I ran into a wall with the Coldain tempers (anyone know where I can find Brown Algae? Been looking for weeks!!!). I don't think you evn need to be trained in poison making, and I know you don't have to be a rogue. Give it a try, and lemme know if it works!

I made a whole batch of this stuff for skilling up through cultural needles as a smith. You don't need any skills for the actual combine - and it never fails

You can pick up all the ingredients in PoK in the building right at the back of the library. Cost to make is just a bit over 1pp from what I remember.

If you have PoP, all the components (including a mortar and pestle) can be bought up in PoK, near the fishing vendors. The Trade Supplies page has the exact locs.

Yes, celestial essence is one of those no fail combines that everyone can make and nobody wants to. This is mainly because people end up using so many of them they get sick of the endless combines. If you have Planes of Power head over to the building with the pool of water in front of it and the barbarian fisherman who never seems to get sick of fishing in the same spot. The dark elf in the booth across from the pool sells celestial solvent. Now turn around and face the pool. Take the stairs on the right. In the first room on the right you’ll find several more dark elves. One of these sells scent of marr. Combine the two in a mortar and pestle and you’ll have celestial essence. I believe you can buy a mortar and pestle from one of the dark elves in this same room. I’ve been using a collapsible mortar and pestle so long I don’t remember exactly who to buy one from anymore.

The only place I have found collapsable units is in bazaar..I believe they are only player made. On Fenin Ro all collapsable units seem to be in the 500 to 2k pp range. Get a set (Jewellery bag, mortar and pestle and mixing bowl, there may be others you need for later) it was the best money I spent in the Bazaar.

Sorry, my post was poorly worded. I meant that I have been using a collapsed mortar and pestle so long I can’t remember which vendor sells the regular mortar and pestle. And yes, the collapsed containers are player made. So unless you happen upon one a player sold to an NPC vendor, which is how I got my spit when they first came out and paid only one copper for it, you have to buy them from other players. I think the most I paid for a collapsed container was 200pp. But if you can afford them, they are extremely handy to have.

I only have the Velious and Kunark expansions, so does anyone know who I can buy celestial solvent from? I am working on my tailoring and I will need an embroidering needle, but I can't make celestial essence without the solvent.

I can ask a friend with PoP to pick some up, but it would be good to be able to find it myself.

IIRC the only place you can get Celestial Essence is in PoP or Luclin (Bazaar, Shadowhaven, Katta(?) )

Huh? Celestial Essence is player made only. I don't know what you mean by can only get at those place. If you are talking about Celestial Solvents, they you are correct. You can only get those in PoP or Luclin zones.

Actually now that you point it out..the only place to purchase the Essence IIRC is in Thurgadin. Solvents are as stated...in PoP and Luclin zones only.
