LoY Dye questions

I have a couple questions about the new dye system.

First where does one get the glaze laquer. Is this the farming drop or is it sold?

What must be farmed to get the dyes made?

And last what is special about the racial robe dyes? Is it like a separate dye for robes vs. armor?

You need 4 components for the Dye and all components are bought in the Lighthouse off of Stonebrunt.

Not only are all four items needed to make armor dyes in the lighthouse; they’re the top four items on the same female vendor. The best price for components with high charisma is about 30pp per dye, assuming you don’t fail any of the combines. If there’s a way to raise faction with the vendor that price might be reduced slightly.

I’ve not looked at the robe dyes your talking about, though I’ve heard of them. However, the way the armor dye works is it colors a given slot on your character, not the armor itself. For example, you change the color of your chest piece. Now every item you put in this slot, including robes, will have its color altered when viewed on your character. But keep in mind that the dyes can be affected by the color of the armor you place in that spot. So not all armor will look the same. For example, if you place something in that chest slot that is usually a light color like white or silver and dye it green and then you place something with a natural brown color in that slot it will suddenly be a different shade of green.

You can play around with the colors even if you don’t have any dye. It just won’t stay the colors you pick once you close out the window. Click on the button you’ll fine on your inventory display and have some fun with it. If you find a color combination you like, just write the numbers down so you can repeat it once you get some dye.

Racial robes

The special racial robe dyes are used to make the ribbons which are then used to make the robes. Anyone can make the ribbons, but only members of the specific race can make the racial robes.
