  • Why are there not more drink recipes?

    Hello all,

Why is there only 2 good brewing recipes for stat drinks. Qeynos Afternoon Tea and Grobb Liquidised Meat are the only decient drinks you can make. I being a caster always have tea on me. I have made Grobb once for some guildmates and will never make it again. That recipe is a pain in the butt.

I have the ability to make tons of baking goods for melee, hybrid, and casters. Every add on I keep looking for a new brewing recipe to use. I have yet to see one. I just wish there was a few more recipes for brewing to be in line with bakery.

I agree; it would be nice if brewing had a similar selection of stat drinks that baking does stat food. It would also be nice if we had more drinks with longer durations, even without any stat benefits. My kitty shaman eats and drinks more than most races. He makes his own patty melts to eat and that drastically slows down my need to replenish his food supply. But his options for long lasting drinks to make are severely limited. I’ve gone to Freeport and bought the 5000 drink, but I would much rather he be able to make his own long lasting drinks since he’s about to hit 250 brewing. Darn those last two points.

However, I must admit that your comment on how Grobb Liquidised Meat is a pain in the butt to make made me snicker. After making enough to Halas Pies to feed all the gnolls in Blackburrow for at least a year, I found the Grobb Meat drink refreshingly easy to make. I guess its all a mater of perspective. *smiles*

You also didn't mention Kalidim Constitutionals...

Though those are not fun at all to make, 50% fail at 250 skill, and they are very very expensive to make.

        Then sell slowly.

This has been a personal gripe for me, and many brewers, since before PoP came out.

We want a fish roll type recipe, something cheaper to make than Fizzlecutter, that lasts just as long.

I see 30 alcoholic beverages, that have absolutely no in game use... but only 10 drinkable things .

Yep, I’m making Kalidim Constitutionals for my last two points of brewing. Eighty combines now and not a single skill up. *sigh* With all the failures I have I’ve not even bothered to figure up how much these are costing me. I plan to sell them in the bazaar if I can. The lowest price last night was 15pp each. I’ll mach the lowest price and hope for the best.

What I hate most about these is I seem to fail a LOT of the combines to make Fermented Yarrow. The trivial is listed as 74, but I tend to fail on 1 to 3 per every five I try to combine with my skill of 248 and holding a geerlock. And at 26pp a shot it’s proving to be very hard on my anemic bank account.

I actually make better profit on the KCs than any other of the drinks. Mine also sell pretty well, I sell them at somewhere between 15pp and 17.5pp each, depending on the level of competition.

Even with a 50% failure rate, they cost about 3.3 pp to make, max. The biggest pain is gathering the shrooms, but I just fish and make small batches in between spawns, since the brew barrel is right next to the bloom farms

Im going to regret posting this maybe But most of the time on RN, there is hardly anyone selling KC's. They do not sell as good as Tea or the god aweful GLM's (which i refuse to make), but as they sell, the time and money spent making them is worth it. Even with the fail rate and cost of Fermented Yarrow. I do also wish there was a FC5000 type drink we could make too though. there are too many wasted recipes for alcoholic drinks that could be switched for some decent drinks.
