Question about GM Trophy

Hi all,

I've looked through several pages of posts, and haven't seen this subject discussed - hope it's not a rehash.

Does the GM Trophy still function as a corking device in recipes that need one? Or is its name purely symbolic? A more basic way of asking the question - do I need to get another Corking Device to replace one consumed in a successful trophy combine?
