  • 2 questions...

Hey everyone. I was wondering about two things. First of all, what is a good skill level to start brewing the cash-making stuff (QAT, KC, GLM)? So far I'm at 188, but I know I need a bunch more skillups to have a chance at making a profit from these items. And my other question is: what should my int. be to attempt going through MHB hell (holding out for now till I raise some cash)? So far my int is at 188, but it shouldn't be too hard, but I was wondering if it would make that much of a difference? Thanks in advance,

GLM you could make now, if you have the geerlok I'd say it would be just over a 50% success rate.

Trivial is 216, you'd be at 197 or so, maybe even higher than the 50%.

So your cost would be roughly 3pp each GLM (my cost is 1.5 approx with a 5% fail rate), and they sell VERY fast at 5pp, though I've never sold for less than 6.

Kali Constitutionals would faily 90% of the time or so, at 250 w/ trophy I fail 50% on em, so don't try them, expensive as heck anyhow.

QAT I haven't done, can't forage, but at 226 trivial I'd wait til you get to 200 on the store bought GLM.

You do have a corking device right? hehe

Delfontes's post made me think of something that's probably worth mentioning...I started making KC's @ 227 + geerlok, and now at 250 + trophy, my success rate is pretty much the same as it was when starting out...maybe just a little bit better.

Someone who's better at math than I am may be able to draw a useful conclusion from this...

Unless you’re in a huge hurry, I’d suggest working your brewing up to 248, assuming you plan to take it that far. The Minotaur Brews don’t really cost that much to make. I went from 192 brewing to 220 for just about 30pp after selling back to the vendor. Naturally, the price will vary depending on you faction with whatever vendor you use, as well as your luck with skilling up. But I don’t think your intelligence will be a problem. My wisdom, without KEI, was about 185. Though I did have KEI for most of that run. So you shouldn’t have too much trouble increasing your skill before you try to make items that will cost you money.
