Upgrading trophy

Sorry if this has been asked before but I did a few searches and couldn't find anything.

I have the old brewing trophy (not lore, no skill mod, no bag) and I'm wondering if I will lose another corking device if I decide to upgrade it?

Yah, that is what he was asking... and I answered yes.

You can upgrade it, but you need to hand in a corking device with it, that isn't returned.

Basically for bakers/tailors/smiths etc to upgrade it was a trivial 10-30pp. With Brewers it's a blue diamond + 40pp worth of vendor gears, a foraged branch, and a gnome, minimum cost approx 500pp, average price 2k.
