Question concerning corking devices

Okay I notice that quite a few of the higher level recipes require a corking device to complete the combine. But I also noticed that the corking device requires a BD to make. Do you need 1 corking device per combine or is the device returned to you on failure or success? If you need one per combine, that's a lot of money.

I don't see anything mentioned (Skull Ale mentions return, and surefall ranger trail juice mentions lack of return) so I guess it would be not returned, since that's the default for combines ...

OTOH, it's kinda pricey for an eaten component and since it's used for putting the cork in, it seems kinda silly to leave it in

And I think I remember someone saying they "borrowed" someone's to finish skilling up, so I presume it's returned, Gwendelyne.

As an example, to make Kaladim Constitutionals you require a corking device.

The corking device is returned on success and failure. I believe thats the question you posed ?

And I could not see any message about the corking device being returned in the following recipies either;

Fizzy Odus Juice,
Grob Liquidized Meat,
Kaladim Constitutional,
Inno Triple Bile.

I am sure that I read it somewhere on the site (about the corking device being returned, on the recipie page). Maybe it needs to be inserted....

It's returned on MOST combines...If you're doing your trophy it'll get eaten.

If a blue diamond is used up each combine... would the finished product sell for 5pp each?

Perhaps the answer to your question is more easily attained than you think.

Niami has made a slight modification to the brewing page that clearly states the corking device is returned -success- or -failure- on drink combines that require it.

I tend to agree with you Darstar. A simple, direct answer to the question or a link to the answer is all that’s called for. Trying to make someone look stupid for asking a question is childish.

As for the question about the corking device, I’ve not used one yet but from what I’ve read Chak is correct. Unless your making something that specifically says your device will be consumed, such as making your brewing trophy, you should get your corking device returned to you with each combine.

I use a Corking Device to make Grobb Liquidised Meat and the Corking Device is always returned.

I think it's reasonable to tell people to read the recipes if the answer is clearly there, but if it's not, it makes the one saying "read the recipe" look like an idiot.

Other than the tradeskill trophy I've yet to find a recipe that eats the corking device. Glad they fixed it so that wrong recipe's don't eat everything. I'd have gone through about 16 corking devices by now.
