250 Brewer on Tholuxe Paells

Thank Marr I'm DONE with Brewing!!! Brewing was an annoying and fustrating tradeskill for me. For some reason, once I hit 200 I was netting 1 skillup per 40-50 attempts doing minotaur hero brews. Somewhere around 230 - 248, it would take 60 combines before I got a skillup. I had to do a doublecheck to be sure I WAS working on Brewing and not smithing by accident.

Last night, after making another 40 attempts of Demi Sec Champagne with no skillups at 249, I camp out (in an attempt to reset the RNG) come back in, and on my first combine viola!! 250!! WOOT!!

Now to decide what tradeskill to work on next...*evil grin*

Question

If you get your skill up to 239, is there any reason to get it higher? After all, a geerlok takes care of the last 11 skill points. I was planing on stopping at 239.
