Yes, I know int/wis has nothing to do with successes. This is about skill ups. It's common knowledge the caster stats affect them but how much?
The reason I ask is that I have a character on firiona vie that happens to have a passion for brewing
Unfortunatly, you only get 1 character per account and the low population of the server makes items VERY expencive. I have to pay at least 50pp for any item slot to get as little as 1 int and as high as 3. Maybe 4. All with the exception of those +2 int rings of course. Some slots like arms with int start at 200pp.
My character is a bard and a half elf. This leaves me with 75 int and even less wisdom. I can't twink even if I had a higher level character on the server so the only way to make cash is to camp aqua gobs (impossible with the amount of people trying to make money. Remember, every level 10 or so you see really is level 10 unless the person has 2 accounts. They can't just have a high level farm a place more lucrative than AG. They have to get it here) or ghetto it out. That buying and selling kind of stuff. The server is also a tradeskillers heaven. Leather padding goes for 7pp here. Silks go for 7g at times. Even less. Since everyone trade skills, everyone tries to exploit the situation creating a ton of competition. Buying and selling pelts and silks will net me some 200pp every 2 or so days. The only saving grace I've had so far is that my heady kiolas always seem to sell out
So what I really want to know is, should I put my efforts aside now and wait till I can afford some int gear? I managed to get to 151 doing the fetid/skull ale route but the skull ale nearly drove me insane trying to get skill ups. I must have literally made over 1000 combines going from 125 to 151. Is it the same for everyone or will it be just impossible to go on from here?
Also, if someone could get me a nice trade skill parcer, I happen to have the log of my 125 to 151 skill ups. Another thing I was wondering was, does wis have the same boost as int? Both increase the chances yes, but does one increase it more than another?
