Has anyone had any luck foraging Steaming Water for the Hot Tonic and Glacier Mountain tonic recipies ?

I've had a foraging mule in Broodlands for the last 2 days trying to get it.

I took my little druid (200 foraging) to Broodlands yesterday, it took her about 1/2hr (including one death) to get one. So they are available

I got 1 off the vendor in LS yesterday a few hours after server up. I was on my way the forge.

Steaming water is actually fairly plentiful in most DoN zones on the foraging tables. I've had good luck especially in Stillmoon, and various DoN instances. I've had a harder time coming by the Air-infused Spring Water.

I eventually got one in the bazaar. I suspect my level 1 wood elf warrior was never going to forage one !

Anyway, I'm a happy owner of a master brewer trophy now.

                Steamed Water/Air-Infused Spring Water/Scale Ore

ZERO steamed water, ZERO air-infused spring water and ZERO scale ore in ~6 hours of foraging in Stillmoon. Got lots of pods of water, roots, fruit and berries though. I vote they reduce the later 4 in that zone, and increase the previous 3 forages. Grrrr.

Where does one go to forage these 3 items?

                  Try Broodlands or Thundercrest, Ozadar.

I have scads in bank from foraging in Broodlands. Most recent foraging and getting more was last week (9/06) The steaming water is more common than the air-infused it seems.

But there sure is a lot of junk on the forage tables in Broodlands.

Thanks! I'll try Broodlands. Is the Accursed Nest any good for Air Infused Water? Table is a lot smaller, but I wonder if it's accurate.

Yea, unfortunately the forage tables on all the DoN zones seem to be pretty much identical, and have many ingredients which are now obsolete and completely worthless (such as Silkworms, which were used in the old throwable snares but are no longer used in any recipies).

This is a major PITA for anyone wishing to do any DoN combines that requre foraged components (like Miner's Mud).

Did not see a difference in how many of the rarer forage items I was able to forage in the nest vs. Broodlands.

One of the problems with this situation is that we don't really know if the forage tables in any of the DON zones tend to favor some things more than the other zones do. The developers no doubt have a way to check that, of course, but it's precisely the kind of information that they seem to refuse to discuss with players.

Furthermore the forage tables in all of these zones are so huge and full of "rare" forages that in order to develop any meaningful data from which to draw any worthwhile conclusions about this issue one would likely need to spend weeks or perhaps even months foraging in each of the DON zones to generate enough data to overcome the random number generator's perfectly normal tendency to produce "lumpy" data for "small" sample sizes. And after all of that you might just discover that every one of the zones has either the same forage table or one that is so close to all the others that they are statisticly indistinguishable from each other.

Consequently nobody on the player side of things has bothered to try to dosument these forage tables in great detail, and frankly, I honestly doubt anybody ever will. Let's be honest here. It might very well be easier to try to mine one of the knowledgable developers for this information during unguarded moments after a few too many late night drinks during one of the fan fares.

With the alchemy changes making half the forages obsolete, I wonder if they could just remove those items with no use now from the forage tables.
