  • Juice of Quellious

So, just looked at the Juice of Quellious in the PoR Brewing section. At first I thought, "Cool, a miraculous drink with some HP/Mana and ok stats." Then I looked at the recipe and realized I'll probably never make it--each juice requires 2 foraged items (though a couple are available as ground spawns/drops) and dwarves don't forage.

But I've been wanting to be able to brew a drink like this for a looong time, so I started thinking that the cost of purchasing the foraged items might not be too bad--even things from lesser used zones like the Emerald Oranges from EJ.

Kicker, of course, is that the yield is 1. Is it just me or does this seem a bit out of line with other brewing recipes (Qeynos Afternoon Tea, Kaladim Constitutionals) and Baking recipes (IE, Misty Thicket Picnics)?

    Yield is 5.

Each flask of juice is 2 foraged/ground spawn components for a yield of 5 as well.

So 2 of each fruit/berry for the combine results in 25 Juice of Quellious.

Ah, ok--when I looked at the database, yields were showing as one. Pitaya and pomengranate still show as one, btw.

But that means I'm going to have to do some shopping in the morning--and yes, I'm much happier about the yields now

If you not a forager you'rll be pretty hard pressed to make these. I have yet to see anyone selling Emerald Oranges or Rathe Berrys in Povar Baz. The Sylv berries are a real slow forage, but you can farm them of the 3 orc camps in LM, running between the camps I would be up one or two per spawn, perhaps a stack every couple of hours.
Fortunatley for me I have a my baby 55 Lone Ranger, so foarging is not an issue. 2 weeks foraging, while I play another comp, managed to get enough berries for 40 stacks of JoQ. Priced at 250pp each 5k per stack they dont fly of my trader, but Ive still sold 12 stacks in a 10 days. With this pp and the sundered blade shards i forgaed in Devestation going to baz buyers at 500pp each my bank acccount is starting to look helathy again. Shame I will probably blow the lot on my final 47 tailoring

The subcombines yield 5 juices each and then the final combine also yields 5. So if you have two of each fruit/berry, you get 5 of each juice, and thus 25 JoQ (except of course, for when you fail).

              Pomegranates all over elddar forest

Thought i would mention that you can find pomegranates all over elddar forest as ground spawns. Was there for a few hours just looking around in the zone and i got over 30 pomegranates, little over 20 green apples, all found as ground spawns.

For site manager ... Under Trade supplies for elddar forest, you might want to include Brewing to the list of what pomegranate can be used for.

Sylvan berries can also be foraged in Lesser Faydark, link on this site says Greater Faydark but failed to forage any there.

You do much better clearing the 3 orc camps in Lesser Faydark for sylvan berries. Will get 2 or 3 per clearing of the 16 orcs, repop is about 10 minutes. An hours foraging may get you 1 or 2, orcs will get your from 10 to a stack. Now if only EJ and rathe were so easy.

Pitaya are also ground spawns in devestation, slow respawn on them though and you have to dodge see invis high level mobs.

i spent an afternoon running between the orc camps with a pit stop at the brownie camp to get brownie parts for a friend. after the third spawn cycle, i started noticing that the brownies had the sylvan berries on them too.

In my experience, it's the drops are rarer off brownies than faeries. I have yet to see a single sylvan berry on a brownie.

I'll probably fall out of my chair when--if--I finally do see one

I've seen them off brownies but in my experince, one drops every 3 clearing of the village and that's on a good day. You'd probably have a better chance of getting one via foraging than from brownies.
