  • Suggestion for brewing skillup to 300...

There's some FAQ's on this but assume someone doing the skill up does not have forage ability and does not have access to caster class for enchanted or imbuded item.

My skill is at 242 and I'd like to get to 300 but being Vah Shir beastlord, not a while lot I can do without the help of other classes. As I understand champagne magnum (used in Brut Cham.) is required for many 300+ brewing skillup.

If there a brewing recipe or 2 that are either all vendor bought or commonly foraged item that usually sells cheaply in bazaar? I have all expansions installed so I can go to just about anywhere save for higher PoP and GoD zones as I'm not flagged there yet.

If you get bored of KCs, many of the new DoN recipes have high triv and use foraged stuff, you could also try mountain teas (triv 260-280 iirc), the mountain leaves are pretty rare on MT though so this may not be an option for you.

I may be doing DoN brewing after the patch, supposedly a lot of foraged items will be available through NPC which should make this easy.

Where did you hear that? I haven't seen anything about it.

They are now dropping from mobs, not for sale from vendors That was the change mentioned in a patch.

Yea. I thought about doing DoN recipies for brewing 255+ but the forage tables are so large that you just don't get enough of the necessary ingredients to make it a feasable skillup route.

I think it's just a function of how much time you spend there, and how much you get the word out to your foraging guildmates. Sure, you're not gonna see enough to grind from 250 to 300 in one night. But you should still get enough supplies coming in to do a stack every night or two. Especially if you're super nice and put Miner's Mud and Iced Tea in the guild bank for people to withdraw as needed (who me? *bribe* my guildmates? Nah...). I find the same is true of the OoW forages, when I'm stuck there all night doing epic 1.5 raids, I often walk out with more than a stack of stonewood roots and stragglegrass.

In fairness though, I did KC's & BC's from 250 to 300, so take my rambling for what it's worth.
