  • New hell level?

Has brewing become so difficult? I spent last night trying to get up on brewing. I did 7 stacks of brut champagne combines and got 1 point up. My wisdom is at 375. Is this the new hell level? I would have expected 1 point per stack range. I mean, 3-4 stacks without a skill up would be statistically astronomical, but 7 stacks? Do you think there is a new "hell level" around 250-260 range?

I think you just got an unlucky streak. Runs of 300 combines without a skill-up in brewing are not uncommon.

I did two runs of 200 Kaladim Constitutionals and got 10 skill-ups on the first and 8 on the second which is about what's expected.

Neither of us has done enough combines to get a true feel for the RNG for 250+ brewing though so we're both just guessing. I may have been extremely lucky.

Due to the fact that I have a job and need to sleep occassionally, I'm fairly well behind those who have already hit 300, but in 12 points, I've already had 3 different runs of 100+ combines with no skill ups. Fear not. The RNG is just delivering some hate to you. It'll make up for it eventually by giving you skill ups on consecutive combines, or giving you a really good roll on a piece of equipment you don't really need.

Took 1132 champagne magnums to do 251-300. I didn't track how many i got back from salvage 2, but all too commonly i got back grapes /sigh. Figure, tops, an additional 25 recombines from salvaged magnums.

/sigh, thanks for the information. So, based on your numbers, it's somewhere between 20-25 combines per point. I must really offended the RNG gods. Seven stacks equal 140 combines for one point so it's way off for some reason. Oh well, back to the combines. May I ask what your wis/int was when you did the combines?

I usually do my combines at WIS 260 (seeing as how that's my cap), and for my 12 points, I would estimate that I have done 600 combines (about 50/50 KC's & brut). I'm expecting my next run to be bountiful in skill-ups.

With Int of 395, and Salvage 3, I went from 250-300 using 850 full sets of Brut Champagne combines. I will have got more actual combines due to salvaged ingrediants, but it wont have topped more than about 1000 combines.

Skill up rate was pretty consistant at around 1 per 20, i.e. 5%. I noticed no hell levels. If anything brewing appears to have been made easier.

I'm doing Kaladmin constitutionals atm to skill and to give friends and guildies the finished product. So far starting at 250 skill with 395 int.

                  205 combines 6 points gained

                  197 for 6 gained

                  216 for 14 gained

                  216 for 11 gained

For a total of 934 combines for 37 points. Which makes that come to 25.2 combines for each point gained, or 3.948%.

I was hoping for a bit better on the points gained, at this percentage rate I still need to do 330 more combines.
