Unable to combine Beer-Based Batter

Beer-Based Batter (Trivial 95, Yield 1)
Short Beer
Red Wine
Cup of Flour
Cup of Sugar
Vinegar
Ground Pepper

I have tried to combine the above ingrediants in both a brewing barrel in PoK and I keep getting "can't combine these items in this container type" message. I even tried baking them in an oven but I get the same message. I went to Kaladim and tried a brewing barrel there, still the above message. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Well the recipie is correct. I've recently combined it so I'm assuming its working as it should. The brew barrel is the correct container. My only guess is that, while you think you are putting in the correct ingredients, you are actually putting in something with the same graphics. Its a mistake that we've all made at some point in time. So go back and triple check your ingredients. Also, make sure none of your items are stacked (shouldn't be as it only calls for 1 per but still...) Bet you'll find its one of the silly, common mistakes

I went back and verified it. I still get the type of container error message. (( Even had a Master brewer try to combine these items for me. Wouldn't work, same message to him. So I ended up bugging it. ((

Hmm, that's odd, I made up five stacks of this this past weekend in Abysmal Sea, with no problems. I don't remember it being a zone restricted combine before though.

From what I recall, you don't need to do the quests in order to be able to combine the stuff. You need to do those quests so that you can refine the raw GOD drops into the things you can use for the combines yourself.

I have never done the quest and can combine it fine.

Glitch has worked itself out now.

I was now able to successfully combine the ingredients. I did a complete (and slowwwww) file check, it copied a couple files (none that I recognized) and now the combine works. Go figure. )) Thanx for the assist folks.
