  • Qeynos Teas

I was wondering if there was a thread or a link anywhere that went into detail about making Qeynos Afternoon Teas. With the Bayle's Delight and the Cream yielding different quantities, what is the easiest or most efficient run to make, so that you don't have left overs of either one. I tried looking, but did not see the thread anywhere. If this hasn't been done before, I would be more than happy to attempt it, I just don't want to waste the time, if it's already been done.

I don't really remember any threads of that nature on Qeynos Teas. I'm assuming you mean threads like the ones in the Baking forum that discuss the best ways to make MTPs and HMPs.

So go ahead and analyze to your heart's content, and I'm sure brewers will be happy to debate your results and share their own

Anything where you make runs in 24, 48, 72, 96 etc.. will make you even amounts.

The only failure I have had on subcombines is with the Bayle's, so I always make sure I have an extra Griffon feather on hand.

The one thing I find annoying with QATs is collecting enough griffon feathers for the large batches I usually make (usually upwards of 15+ stacks of leaves at once, think most I've gone through at one time was 30 stacks of leaves) I've hunted in East Karana, North Karana and Jaggedpine Forest and I haven't really figured out which of the zones is the best place. In the Karanas, I can forage for more tea leaves, wild cabbage and plains pebbles while hunting for feathers, or while in Jaggedpine I can get griffon meat to use for baking (have one chr that is at 245 or so). I spent roughly about 4 hours in between East and North Karana the other day, and I only picked up about a dozen or so feathers (that was even with checking the vendors out, and buying what I saw there)

I've had my best luck in East and North Karana doing AoE's on everything that moves. I run around the zone and gather as many mobs as I can and then AoE them. Keeps the griffons popping frequently, and I get a fair drop rate. Still, I seldom get more then 3 or 4 an hour. But, I do get lots of wolf meat in North Karana to make halas meat pies, and in East Karana you get lots of pelts to make leather padding and spider silks for tailoring.

I don't bother with having even amounts for QATs. I make as much of the subcombines as I need to cover all the griffon feathers I have, since that's really the limiting factor in making them. I usually have at least 10 when I make a run, although if I have enough customers bugging me because I'm out, I'll do a run before I get that many. Any extra cream I have on hand I keep for making halas meat pies.

Wow, any of you on Emarr? If you're having trouble with griffon feathers, I'm nigh up to 4 stacks of them, and starting to sell them off just cause I have nowhere to put them. In Jaggedpine I've been getting about an 80% drop rate.

Which is sad, cause I'm more interested in meat at the moment, and don't plan to work tea til much later.

Are you interested in the meat just for raising your baking? What's your skill at now? The meat fished and foraged in Natimbi trivials pretty high, and is really easy to get. The recipes are a bit harder to do, because of multiple subcombines, but you can get so much meat so quickly in Natimbi, that it's worth it. Plus the food you make has some nice stats.

On caveat, is that you really need a forager to be able to get the meats quickly. When I was working on my baking, I was fishing and foraging, and in about 20 or 30 minutes, I had enough meat for over 300 combines.

My wizard's baking is at 207 currently. I have a twinkie druid who is of a perfect level for hunting in Jaggedpine, so yeah I've been working skillups with griffon/anaconda melts (and jord meat pies, my BoT buddies been saving every meat for me ).

I did do a few of the GoD recipes, and have some of those meats stashed as well, but I hold off on those until the druid forages up a stack or two of veggies to work souffles. But any and all advice is appreciated!

I say 'twink' druid...I made her as a forage bot. Who'da thunk she'd get to level 52?

IF you're after meats (griffon and anaconda) as well as the feathers, Nedaria's landing is a much better place to hunt.. I get about double the drop rate on meats there, and you don't have to worry about faction hits if you kill the other animals) Same forage table as JP.

Thanks, but in truth I seem to get better drops in JPF. Didn't get a whole lot of meat in Ned's
