Have you tried to make it yet? If you haven't, try it until you are successful and then add it your favorites. If you have done this, then try deleting a few of your other favorites to "make room" for MHB. There seems to be some kind of maximum number of favorites; I haven't figured out if this maximum applies per tradeskill or if it is an absolute number of favorites for all tradeskills.

[Edit] MHB is the thing to do because it is very cheap to make and there are a couple of places like Halas and, probably, Abysmal Sea, where the brew barrel and all the ingredients are very close to each other. Once you have the recipe on your favorites list, it is very quick to grind out the skill levels.

There is a maximum number of favorites across all tradeskills. I believe the current number is 100.

Also, I believe it will only show up if the trivial is within 50 points of your current skill level. I might be mistaken on this one though.

You seem to be right JMorg. I have found that the recipes span about 50 points from the trivial your are currently at, therefore, you would not see it unless you have made it outside of the new UI in the experiment button. Try making it the old fashion way until you have made a successful combine and then add it to favorites.

You can be above the trivial (ie 250) and that recipe is one that won't show unless you've actually had a sucess at making it the old fashioned way. It's on the "can learn" list.. not the automatic recipe list.

MHB may be too difficult at 188

Yes, as someone mentioned in a previous reply to this post, you need to keep trying until you make a successful combine before it will show up on your favorites list. However, at 188 skill level, the MHB is RED being trivial at around 248. You will skill up very slowly on the MHB. Also, each batch of ingredients you purchase, you will get less than half the product return. Believe me, I tried going the MHB route once i hit 188 and i only moved two skill points in over 600 combines! I would suggest trying something with a lower trivial rate, something in the 215-220 area before moving on to MHB. Otherwise you will take longer to get to 248 with the MHB. You will kick yourself later when you realize you could have skilled up much faster by making something in the blue range rather than red. Just my 2cp on the matter. good luck to you in your brewing endeavors

Yeah, but ya know MHB are all storebought, and you can do them in one place with almost no running. I did from 188 to 248 with them before the new tradeskill ui. Probably alot of others did as well. It takes awhile, but it's cheap and relatively easy. Just hard on the hand and mouse. Alot easier on those now.

Back when they went live (in velious?) I did MHB from 168 to 248... the old fashioned way of course.

One issue here is that after 188 there are no recipes (that I could find) that don't require foraging or uncommon/semi-rare drops; MHB are pretty much it in the all store-bought realm. I used it all the way from 188 to 248 and it didn't take that long (or that much plat) with the UI. Try getting your WIS/INT maxed for best results.
