  • HELP, IS there such thing as Money making as a BREWER?? PLEASE HELP

Hi everyone, I'm from the Karana Server, lvl 40 Dark Elf Necro, 248 Brewing...

I was wondering if there is any thing that you can make, to make some good money! I didn't just waste 2 days of clicking to get nothing out of brewing. I hope someone reads this and can possibly tell me what you can make that sells well and is needed for other things, If anyone has any idea as to what would sell well or what to make, Please, respond to this! Thanks a lot

Heady Kiola Although you are about 200 points above trivial. I've also heard some things about the Queynos tea but never actually played with that.

Just curious, why DID you spend 2 days skilling up brewing? Because I only started on it to aid my other, more interesting tradeskills

I made quite a lot of money with stat drinks but I don't make them to sell anymore. It seems the new UI took away the "pain" of KCs and the price really dropped on my server. At least it seemed to happen about the same time. The QATs dropped as well. I believe they dropped more because of forage bots though. It just would annoy me to no end when I had KCs up for 15p each and selling them well and someone would dump 300+ on their trader for 10-11p

You CAN make money with stat drinks though, I used those funds to bankroll my other tradeskills (and buy alot of my 61-65 spells). I just make more money now with smithing and pottery

I am attempting to make a little money off of tempers. I'm making the Coldain, LDoN, Tannins, Celestial Essences, and Celestial Temper for Barbarian cultural. I vendor dive for the cheap components for celestial essence and make those and sell for 5-10pp. People are unusually short with patience on my server so making subcombines is the route to go. You have to watch the market though, and be aware of what the "hot" item of the time is. I keep all BD's I come in contact with and make Celestial Tempers. LDoN tempers offered a new way of Smithing and I vendor those at the camps as well. Be patient and watch the Bazaar for a few days on your server to see what sells.

Try smithing tempers for the higher level cultural armours.
Most of them are a PITA to get the components for, so a lot of smiths (including myself) are quite happy to find them for sale in the bazaar

The 3 things that I have made pp on in brewing are Heady Koilas, Grobbs and Tailoring LoY dye.

The LoY Dye is mostly about the farming, but you can make good pp by buying the drops in the bazzar making the dye and most importantly Stocking a LOT. It wont sell fast but when it does you get a big bunch of pp all at once :-)

On my other char (Rouge) I made a pretty good living off of Prismatic Dyes. I sold out around thirty in less than four hours. Making 15p profit on each one, pretty nice. The only hard thing is getting pottery up to make the vial.

As I didn't go into brewing myself to make a profit from it, I was pleasantly surprised at all the plat I've been making in the near 2 years I've been selling the various stat drinks. The main sellers still seem to be GLM (grobb liquidised meat) and QAT (qeynos afternoon tea), with some of the new taelosian teas doing fairly well (mountain versions tend to sell abit better than the normal ones.) Haven't had any KCs (kaladim constitutionals) in stock for awhile, although I've been getting the groundspawns for them. I recently took a look at the bazaar log I had, and totalled all my sales up from may and june (counting all the stat foods (mainly halas pies, MTPs, some GoD souffles, planar fruit pies, and quite a few hero sandwiches, as well as a few other assorted items), I made a little over 300k plat in just 2 months. And although I lost all the logs I had of when I orignally started selling drinks/food (was mainly the drinks and some halas pies at first), I do remember a ballpark figure of the first 6 months, which was a little less, I think I made about 200k in the first 6 months.

By now, I've probably made over 300k on Qeynos Afternoon Tea. If you can Forage, or know someone who does (BIG if), you can do very well on those.

Kaladim's have been a steady source of income for me. I have a bot set up in Kaladim to harvest the ground spawns. Prices on my server vary. I've sold them from 12 - 20pp each (currently at 16pp).

Recently, the various Taelosian Tea brews are doing reasonably well. The ingredients are harder to come by unless you are a forager and play a lot in GoD. The components also drop in GoD, but they are not that common. I've sold stat Taelosian Tea at 20pp each. I haven't yet made any of the Mountain Tea variety.

                          /agree on Taelosian Tea

I haven't actually tried it yet, but I suspect the Taelosian teas will sell well, because, as noted, the supplies are difficult to come by unless you forage, and the only items required are the forages and a flask of water. While the stats on the teas are less than impressive, they are also used in a faction-improving quest in Qinimi (I think, not sure on the zone, but one of my guildies has been askin' me for teas). Even selling the teas for a handful of pp each, you'll make a killing on the wide profit margin, unless you're paying for your supplies.

Luclin-era stat beverages vary widely by server, on FV, for example, QAT still sells pretty steadily at 10-20PP each, while you're having a lucky day if you can move GLM's at more than 4PP each (early stages of the market had those selling at 15PP+). KC's are also pretty well tanked on FV. Another potential market is Demi-Sec Champagne, again, very server-specific. You might have a server where they sell for 200PP each (very nice profit) or you might see them going for 40PP each (coppers above cost). Do check the stat beverage market on your server regularly for at least a week (noting that weeknight and weekend markets can be very different), and decide what's going to give you the most bang for your buck (and your time). If you can find an unfulfilled niche, that's gonna be your best bet.

For the record, I have more-or-less given up on selling stat beverages for profit, and make them only for personal use.

                          Good luck,

Biggest money I have made as a brewer has been Celestial Tempers. Keep every BD you come across and turn them into celestial temper. I usually get anywhere from 600-700 per temper as opposed to 250-300 for BD's in their pure form.

Best money I have gotten as a Brewer is Planar Blood Brews. The down side is that you need to be able to kill Slargilargs in PoN, as the blood from them is no-drop. Getting groups to go to the docks is not very common, so it may be hard for some classes(I can solo them). You can also bake the legs into Poppers which sell decently well.
