I've opened and closed my mixing bowls repeatedly but the tradeskill UI doesn't pop up. Is this a nerf from a while back that I missed? I'd swear I was able to do autocombines in it back when the UI first came out.

Mixing bowls aren't broken. Someone with a better memory will remember the precise command to open the mixing bowl to get to the UI interface. (I seem to recall it includes the ctr key and a right click on the bowl.)
It's pretty easy to find the command in the game though (in case someone doesn't post it here). Click open a stationary tradeskill container such as a forge, brew barrel, oven etc. In the bottom right corner, it shows the proper command.
