  • Duration on meals?

    Hi all

I saw a thread on the old boards pertaining to the lengths food and drink items last.

I can't find it here, or anywhere on www.eqtraders.com.

Can someone please post the real time non-force fed length for:

    Snack/Whistle Wetter
    Meal/Drink
    hearty
    enduring
    banquet
    miraculous

    and the ones I missed

Or does it vary by the specific meal?

    Thanks for your time.

I don't know about the actual times but I am pretty sure that it does vary by race.

For advertising purposes I try to estimate ratios e.g. my Qeynos afternoon teas are consumed at a third of the rate of my fish rolls etc.

it is something like this, i may of missed something

      DRINKS
      whistle wetter
      drink
      enduring
      flowing
      miraculous

      FOOD
      snack
      meal
      hearty
      banquet
      miraculous

larger races eat more food / drink, and if you have a horse, they will eat all your food and drink a lot faster. Miraculous drinks do not last as long as miraculous meals for me either.

There are currently 7 different classes of food and drink. Each of the classes has a specific "BASE" RL time if consumed normally. The times can vary during game play based on your character class, race, and if you have a mount.

The Classes and BASE RL times are (food / drink) ...
        Snack / Whistle Wetter - 15 minutes
        Meal / Drink - 30 minutes
        Hearty / Refreshing - 60 minutes
        Banquet / Lasting - 90 minutes
        Feast / Flowing - 120 minutes
        Enduring / Enduring - 150 minutes
        Miraculous / Miraculous - 180 minutes

Force-feeding (consumption by right clicking on the item to eat or drink), according to Abscor, cuts these times in half.

Some of the variations (which I have not received confirmation on yet) ...
Halfling race - requires twice as often (ex. meal / drink = 15 minutes)
Monk class - requires half as often (ex. meal / drink = 60 minutes)
Character with mount - increased but exact rate unknown.

Does it matter if you are sitting on the horse, or not: if you just have the bridle but aren't riding, does that affect your consumption rate?

I think you misunderstood K's question Val - she doesn't have the horse with her, simply the bridle. Seeing as how the horse is off in LaLaLand and hasn't been summoned yet, and your character itself isn't any different than before you had a bridle other than having another item in your inventory, it shouldn't make a difference until your mount has been summoned.

Yeah the increased consumption rate is only when you have your horse summoned and for me at least it's very noticable that i go threw food faster when i'm sitting on my horse.

Quite correct about the horse not consuming anthing until summoned. Verified as recently as last night.

Yay! That's what made sense to me ... but we all know not everything necessarily makes sense ^_^; Thanks for the feedback and testing!
