...do certain brewed items contain more alcohol that others, and if so, do consuming these higher alcohol brews increast the chance of skilling up in Alcohol Tolerance?

Yes some brewed beverages contain more alcohol than others. And as far as I know they don't increase a person chance of getting a skill increase in alcohol tolerance. However, some drinks seem to make a person get drunk faster, or by having fewer number of them.
I know that I can drink a whole stack of Minotaur Hero Brew, but I bottomed out on bleeding brain with 4 drinks left in a stack. Everything else was the same, when I tried it.
