Two for each set of dungeons eh?

Can't wait to get in there and get some stuff to work up. My warrior's at 168, so he'll probably do my testing. My 250 brewer wouldn't be much help.

A Bottle of Double Brewed Orcish Stout
      MAGIC ITEM
      EXPENDABLE Charges: 1
      Effect: Intoxication (Casting Time: Instant)
      WT: 0.5 Size: SMALL
      Class: ALL
      Race: ALL

2 attempts (pond water is pretty rare) resulted in 1 success at 250 skill. According to Lucy, Intoxication gives a small run speed boost and an unknown effect.

I also noted that there were several versions of Intoxication listed, each of differing powers. This leads me to wonder if different 'levels' of pondwater yeild different results since it is most likely obtainable in adventures of all level ranges.

Anyway, I was hoping for some new stat drinks so this was a little disappointing. Hopefully some of the other recipes are what I'm looking for.

tried one shot each of darkened fungus wine, distilled swamproot pondwater, and aged bloodwine at 153 skill. failed the pondwater, made the other two and got a skillup.
both the successful drinks have one charge 'intoxication' so i'm guessing that they all will.

is the effect something that puts a buff on your buff bar? I'm wondering if it can be cast from a hotkey bank, and could work as a clicky in dispell-raids.

              re

Yea they give a buff icon, thats probally all they are useful.

They are like a sow potion, except not as good, they can be cast indoors, but thats the only upside.

If this is indeed all the recipes I must say I’m rather disappointed. Stat drinks would be nice, certainly, but I’d be happy if we were just given a good selection of long duration drinks. How many baked items are there that have a longer duration than a meal? Now look at how many drinks we can brew of a similar duration. One of the reasons baking is so much fun is because of all the different types of usable foods that can be whipped up. I feel brewing could be equally as fun if we had a large variety of interestingly named long duration drinks. Oh well, maybe some day.

New stat recipes might come from gaining favor with the brotherhood and chatting with people in camps. Don't dismiss it because there isn't anything in the books. (Then again, I could have rose-tinted glasses on.)
As for forages...ask your friends and guildmates to keep their forages for you?
