  • Tea Leaves

Anyone know how rare the Tea Leaves for the Qeynos Afternoon Tea are? The drink are ok, but im mainly working on skilling up, and it seems like i need 1 leaf a try, so anyone know if its worth even considering skilling up on those, or should i do Grobb Liquidised Meat till 216, then Mino Brews to 248, or tryto get from 216 to 226 on Qeynos Tea?

My druid's foraging is only 130 or so, and I'm lucky to get 4-5 leaves in an hour of foraging.

    That's it...

Definately NOT a skill up recipe!

Personally, I'd go Mino Brew to 248... It's dirt cheap, and there are several zones where you can get all the ingredients in one zone.

I did from 188 to 248 on Mino Brew on my Wizzy in pretty much one day, all in Ak'Anon.

i suggest not doing this receipe as a skill up. i just made about 200 of the teas, there are expensive compared to skilling up using mhb's. i would use the mhb's as a skill up from 188-248. halas is the perfect place since everything is in one room. plus the items needed for the tea's are scattered throughout the whole **** game.

        Skip the tea for skillups.

I am doing the Grobb but only cause I can use it but it takes forever.

I agree. QATs are good for re-sale but definitely not a skill-up path. Besides the tea leaves, you've got to find some griffon feathers, go buy some king's thorn. make some cream, and lastly spend 4 plat minimum per combine on Eucalyptus leaf.

With hero's brews so cheap and easy, there's no reason to consider anything else for skill ups.

Do Grobbs to 216 then Mino's like you said in your first option. Grobbs have a really nice success rate and can earn you a profit in the bazaar for your skill up trouble. They will definately take the hurt out of the Mino slow skill up rate.

Even with 200 forage, I've noticed that if I'm just standing around doing nothing but foraging, I'll end up getting about 5 tea leaves per hour or so. But if I'm doing something else, like spending most of the time killing spiders, and not really paying much attention to foraging, I'll net about 7 or 8 per hour or so. I've got about 14 stacks of tea leaves in the bank at the moment just waiting to be turned into tea, although I probably won't be doing the full batch, that'll be alot of QAT. I'll end up swimming in it. And the price on QAT on Bristlebane has been slowly dropping, about 3 weeks ago it was 15-20pp per and holding, now the cheapest ones are like 10pp-15pp, with mine at 17pp since I refuse to do price wars about anything on my mule. GLM has dropped so fast, that I don't bother with making it myself anymore, I'll just buy other people out, and resell it for a few more pp.

Well every server's different, of course, but when i started working on brewing I started buying up any and all tea leaves I found in the bazaar for 10pp or less (sometimes 15 if they had a lot of em). Sometimes a person only had the one tea leaf, but i bought it anyway. It only took a few weeks and i had 24 full stacks of leaves to practice with ! I kept buying them when I saw them for my price, and I usually have a bag full of them on my bazaar trader waiting for me to have time to brew them up.

So if you're patient and have other things to work on til you're around 185-190 skill, Qeynos Tea CAN be a viable skill path. You just need to be patient

Well, a 10 slot bag full at 10+pp each is 2k+ pp.

On my wizard, I went from 0 to 250 brewing for about 500pp, counting what I spent on 4 KEI's. If your INT/WIS is 255+ already, you can GM brewing for less than 350 PP. (not counting a corker of course)

I definately don't recommend them as a skill up path.

Skilling up on sellables, kills their market. Don't do it! Save GLMs and QATs for after they triv to have some on your mule.

if you have access to tea leaves

10 slot packpack of leaves = 2k (for 10pp each) even add another 1k for all the other parts. so 3k

                            200 leaves x 6 (tea yeilds 6) = 1200

                            1200 x 15pp each (selling them in the bazaar) = 18k

                            so 18k - 3k = 15k

even if you use them to skill up, and only suceed on half of them, you will be making about 7.5k profit from them. it, in my opinion is a very good way to skill up. it will cost you some money to make, but you will get a lot more in return.

edit: and you think grobbs takes forever now, try doing it when casks wernt stackable!
