  • Wolf Meat

Is there any vendors that sell wolf meat as a staple product?
    Thank you

No... There is no vendor that sells wolf meat... But if you are going to make Filleted Wolf, you could always make Filleted Bear instead

The two merchants at the top of the Halas ramp are generally good re-sellers of wolf meat; as is just about any merchant in EC, but there's no-one who has it as part of their stock inventory.

If you're filleting it or making patty melts - use Bear meat instead - from Moradin's Meats in Thurgadin.

well if your looking for wolf meat specifically... say for halas 10LB meat pie... your goign to have to farm it (and mammoth meat as well...)

i found that qeynos hills is a nice place to farm wolf meat... since it s usually fairly vacant and wolves are fairly common... but just about any noob area has plenty of wolves

I've found that most newbie zone merchants have lot's of wolf meat. I always found plenty in Misty Thicket and Rivervale. (And also Commonlands for that matter.)

Also check the vendors in Eastern Karana for Wolf Meat. The Gorge Hounds, Silvermist Wolves, Dark Stalkers and War Wolves all have a chance to drop wolf meat I think. I know when I go vendor-mining there for tea leaves, I usually find a decent aggregate quantity of wolf meat.

Don't forget the Karanas for wolf meat. Heck, wolf meat is easy to come by compared to the mammoth meat.
You'd think as big as they are, they'd always have meat to spare.

i found Mammoth Meat to be far easier to get than Wolf (as a necro anyway): just get to mammoth alley (in EW, go to bridge then a bit on the west, you should find a place with lots of mammoth nearby), there you get like 7 or 8 mammoth everytime, they repop quite fast and are easy to see
i used to go to EK for the wolves, and i can say without track it was far harder to find those bloody wolves than the mammoth... (even if they are easier to kill)

I bribe newbies with gear I no longer need want for their wolf meat and snake eggs (i.e. cougar claw earrings, lockjaw tunics).

Either that or I check for it in the bazaar.

                        Just a heads up

Do not hit the Karanas ring and "zap!" the first wolf you see. The very red druid there will blow you to smithereens.

I should have known better, but I was soo fixated on getting wolf meat for HMP's I was "reminded" the hard way...LOADING PLEASE WAIT...

Commons is a great place also... Usually the dogs run wild and everyone ignores them...

Karana's is great too, as is, funny enough, neriak.

I merchant mine Neriak and its suprizingly productive. Generally pull 2-3 stacks of wolf meat among other loot in about half an hour every 3 days. Be sure to go all the way back to the SK spell vendors in Neriak Third Gate.

For those with track (or people who like to run around aimlessly a lot) who want to collect wolf meat. In Qeynos hills there is a small valley/depression near the undead ruins where I believe 4 wolves spawn. A few seconds after spawning they begin wandering through the zone. The great thing about them is that when one of the wolves that is from this particular spawn area is killed, it respawns in that little valley within 20-30 seconds. So start tracking and killing any wolf you can find in Qeynos hills. Once you have killed all four of the wolf spawns that started at that point, you can simply sit in that little valley and farm to your heart's content. You will have 4 wolves spawn every 20-30 seconds in this valley within a 10-20 foot radius of each other. You can get many wolf meats (or hides for padding if thats what you are into) with relative swiftness. The only tough part is finding and killing the correct wolves from that spawn area to start the respawn cycle.

Oh, and a word of caution to lower level folks farming this spot who are of an evil class/race: Holly Windstalker paths by this valley occasionally and can ruin your day if you aren't keeping an eye out.
