  • Int boosting

    Hello all.

I'm pretty new to EQ (1 month), but have been doing a good deal of baking (lvl 22 Necro. baking skill of 189). I am currently making Halas Meat pies with good success (about 2 out of 3). I tried MTP, but only had one success out of 70 final combines.

My actual question is : What are common / the best ways to raise INT? Obviously I am limited both by a lack of plat, and by level. Currently my INT score when baking is 202, which when compared to some of the scores I see listed here is pathetic.

    Thanks.

200 int at your level is very good. It's hard to make upgrade suggestions without knowing what you wear. I suggest heading to www.magelo.com and giving yourself a profile then linking that back here.

If you can make HMP then you shoud have a viable method to make money for upgrades, but that also depends on your server market. A few idea that I can think of for any class

      Bracelet of Comprehension
      Jewelcraft made rings/earrings/bracelets/whatever
      Stein of Moggok
Mask of Purchitude (NODROP, impossible without a raid, but nice tradeskill item)

I'll get a profile made and post the link back.

Yea. I sell the HMPs for 3pp each, and they go pretty fast (usual price in the bazaar is 3 - 5 pp). I would like to move up to MTPs though, but I figure I need to get some skill ups. I've gotten 3 skill ups in about 200 attempts at HMPs. I figure if it gets harder as I go up, I'm doomed. At least until a higher level.

You should prepare yourself.... all tradeskills have a "hell range" of skill levels from around 190 to 220. Skill ups *will* be slower and you will get frustrated. Just keep looking on through to the light at the end of the tunnel and you will get there.

            hell level

            hi everyone,

new to the forum, and i must say, this is great! am at the hell level of baking right now (194) and have made halas meat pies till they coming out of my ears, but skill ups are veeerryyy slow, even at int of 220+. highly frustrating.

my thought is .... how about "buying" your way past 200 with skill points earned at each level? i still have about 87 left that i haven't used. is this a vaible option?

            cheers,

Afraid not You can only 'buy' training in the 7 standard tradeskills to a skil level of 21 in each of them. That inludes Baking, Blacksmithing, Brewing, Fletching, Jewelcraft, Pottery and Tailoring.

Ahhh ... what I would have paid to be able to train from 199 to 200 in Tailoring! LOL
