Put in a single word - YES.

There are two vendors there, one in town (for the good-too-shoes) and one in the caves (a gnoll) for those whose past tarnishes their images a bit.

Good thing we have two transfer bank slots then...

Especially useful as the banker and cheese dealer are next to each other.

As an Iksar who is KOS to most of the races, friendly or not, I am not KOS to the "evil" merchant that you get to from the BB port. It is interesting that followers of Brell would welcome a follower of Casic Thule without first requiring him to prove himself, but I guess he's more greedy than devout. Espically considering the number of gnolls I have killed in BB, I would have figured he would have been rather upset with me for all the gnoll blood I have spilled. Mabye he is from a different clan, who knows.

I was doing some patty melts for skillups and fun, and my wrist started hurting (begining stages of carpal tunnel... really shouldn't be doing tradeskills, but they're so fun!)

Anyway, I log out for an hour or two, and I log back in. Now, I'm a wizard with low AC and I'm tradeskilling so I only have KEI up still because I was doing this for a while. Well, some gnolls start beating on me, it seems the vendors turned into gnolls or the gnolls took over or something? Luckily I was 40ish at the time and I had some jboots, so I clicked my heals when I finally figured what was going on and ran. I made a few circles to get my bearings (puny, bear-ings.. hehe, jagged pines) and I found the stone to get back to surefall.

So, is there something I don't know about jagged pine? Do the vendors swap? Am I going mad? Did Velious heat over?

Someone was doing the final fight for the 5th badge of Qeynos (info in the Quest section of the site). You have to kill a named gnoll and once he dies, there is a war that erupts between gnolls and the humans in town. Gnolls run into town battling the humans. You can try to help them for loots and faction or you can get out fast.

Yes, that war can get nasty. Even with my 58 shaman I usually zone into JP with invisibility up. If all is well I’ll do my shopping. If not I’ll look around a bit and then head back to Surefall. I’ve tried helping the towns people a couple of times, but I was quickly overwhelmed and had to zone. The war is exciting, but deadly.
