Now that the info on Aid Grimel's earring has died down, anyone look into the Salad info at all? Most of the information can be found on page 13-15 of the Aid Grimel thread. Just wondering if anyone has continued to look into this one.

regarding the salad dressing for the salad: i noticed the guessed recipes that i saw involved the moonstone tear and palm leaf oil. since the moonstone tear uses rain water, that makes sense. however, i would suppose you would need some vinegar, too. thus, when anyone gets around to finding these palm leaves (if they indeed exist in game) and trying this out, don't forget the vinegar!

The Moonstone tear does not have tradeskill tag, this would suggest perhaps the combine with palm leaf oil is done in a small clay jar or some such non tradeskill container.

moot point since palm leaf oil is MIA.

What exactly is that list anyway? Just a list of items found doing some parsing that are showing no known use?

Moonstone Tears have no tradeskill value unless they missed the tag.

Knuckle joints are for tinkering.

The list is from the emulator, and is the last part of what appears to be the list of Baking related items put in for the PoP expansion. Since the all the items were put in at once, they have consecutive item numbers. All of the earlier items have been found and recipes discovered, but these items/recipes are still unknown.

The items have to be in the item database in order to drop or to be used in a combine, although just because they are in the database doesn't mean that they actually ARE in the game. Since the Moonstone tear recipe was found, it is assumed that the other recipes are in, the drops just need to be found, and recipes discovered.

Rainwater Dressing = unknown drop/recipe. could be used in the salad. perhaps a similar recipe to regular dressing, but with Rain Water? Or perhaps the tear + palm oil.
Moonstone Tear = recipe solved above (Moonstone Crystal + Rain Water in a Collapsible Mixing Bowl) could be used in the dressing, I doubt it's in the salad directly.
Palm Leaf Oil = unknown drop/recipe. could be used in dressing as well. Probaby made from Palm Leaf. Emerald Palm Root foraged in EJ, perhaps a leaf can be made from that?
Spiced Heartfruit Greens = unknown drop/recipe. Sounds like it would definately be in the salad. Perhaps a mixture of other greens with some fruit and spice, or perhaps the walnut?
Emerald Leaf Greens = unknown drop/recipe. Also sounds like it would be in the salad. Perhaps some greens with the emerald tea leaf bought in PoK?
Spiced Heartfruit = unknown drop/recipe. Also sounds like it would be in the salad. Perhaps made with the walnut and some fruit? or spices and fruit?
Knuckle Joint = used in tinkering to make the crab cracker. I highly doubt it is involved in this recipe at all.
Emerald Tea Leaf = vendor sold, I'm guessing it's used in the recipe somehow, probably in the Emerald Greens.
Speckled Pine Fruit = unknown drop/recipe. probably another subcomine not figured out, or perhaps used to make the Spiced Heartfruit.
Waterleaf Scale = fished in PoN/PoTr. could be used in one of the subs.
Heartfruit Walnut = foraged in in HoHb. Definately see it as being part of the salad in either it's own form or in a subcombine.
Palm Leaf = unknown drop/recipe. Probably used in the oil.
Moonstone Crystal = used in the tear recipe above.

I know a lot of this seems redundant, but wanted to bring it all together. I see this salad recipe being like the MTP. Several subcombines of ingredients put together in a container. Or maybe no container. But I do think it has several ingredients that all have a lot of subcombines.

I have a feeling that this recipe also includes "old world" items like lettuce, vegetables and fruit and so forth.

I see the Karana salad being (perhaps) Rainwater dressing + Spiced heartfruit greens + Emerald leaf greens in a mixing bowl. Or maybe more /shrug.

Going to go work on this, will post trials.

Would like to know about this. Especially if it is something that a level 65 Ranger(forage) can use to skill up. Since I am just starting tradeskills and am stuck a 188 in all of them.

Palm leaf oil

Digested night palm (no drop, Hollowshade Moor) has a tradeskill tag because it is used in the Shar Vahl sonic wolfbane weapon quest... are we certain it cannot be "revived" or converted somehow to palm leaves?
I am unfamiliar with the emulator otherwise I would check the entries near "digested night palm" myself.
