Hmps?

Hi been working on Hmps for a couple of days and today decided to run a whole lot.

65 warrior with 180 int roughly. 400 combines later 3 skill ups. was rather random as I got a skill up after the first 19, then about 300 another skill up and 3 from that the last. Wanted to know if it would be better for myself to continue with this or start trying Mtps? 194 Skill atm, Thanks

Improve your INT (or WIS if you so chose), then continue tradeskilling. Many people swear by HMPs having a faster skill up then MTPs. YMMV.

The last time I did HMP's, (Which I will never do again), I had 260 WIS, did 200 combines, and got 9 skillups.

Not really better than MTP's for me, I do those 120 combines at a time and average 4 skillups per session.

Switch to Ohabah Truffles, if you can come by the Brown Algae and Mushrooms. If not, get ahold of some Griffon Meat and make Griffon Melts.

I've got plenty of skill-ups from those, and only a few from HMPs.

I am willing to swear that you get more skillups if closer to the trivial, and some just seem to have better skill up rates anyway. If you can get ahold of the mushrooms and brown algae, do truffles; if you can find someone foraging cockroaches, sugar them (trivial 203 I think). Cinnamon comvered pixie sticks were way too much aggravation for me. I got much better skillups on griffon/anaconda melts/casseroles then I ever did on HMPs or MTPs and with much lower aggravation -- I parked someone in JP to forage plant shoots and check the vendors, I often found the meats and the plant shoots in quantity. YMMV
