4th attempt at trophy

I have failed three times at the baking trophy... With KEI my INT is maxed at 255. My baking skill is 250.

What can I do on this last attempt to increase my chances of success? I really can't afford to fail another time... How many tries does it take the average baker anyway?

Can vary a lot, but got the tailoring and baking one now, got both at the 2nd try (although the tailoring ones fail was at the pottery part, at 191 pottery + geerlok /cry)

Only things that matter are skill (make sure you use a geerlok for the two extra points) and luck.

I've heard of people failing as many as seven times before succeeding.

A good friend of mine failed hers 8 times and finaly succeded this past weekend. Good luck I know they can be frustrating.

Finally got my spoon on the 6th try. Failed 4x on the spoon combine, the 5th time on firing the seal (ARGH!) and SURPRISE ! finally got the spoon the 6th time. That was an expensive spoon, even though we hunted up nearly all the gems. Worth it though, i love never having to change into Noppity's sexy charisma gear for buying and selling!

Grats! It took me 3 tries to make mine.

I bought the 1st 2 seals for 9k and 8k .. then had a guildie make me 2 more figuring I'd need both. I was successful on the 3rd one, leaving 1 seal I cant sell for the 8k I bought one for!

The biggest PITA was getting those dairy spoons

I believe the trophies are like most 250+ recipes. About 1 in 2 chance on average. But just like MTPs you can have good or bad streaks. It's just that the bad streaks really hurt on the trophies.

Lots of luck, and a good RNG day. I failed my spoon 7 times before I got it. Then again, I got my Eyeglass on second try, and needle on first. All the times I succeeded I know I was buffed to the hilt. I've become a very paranoid person about doing combines that cost me 8k now. Trying to sell some products to recoupe some lost money. Thinking about selling some of my crab buckets to see if I can get some quick cash.

Hrm, you could always try the random number trick - this is what I read somewhere -

do a series of 5ish /random 100 rolls, and if you don't get half of them over 50, camp and re-log, try again. Some people have claimed it helps!

I have been really lucky it seems, I made the JC and Brewing trophies on my first try for each.

I've been selling my butt off in the bazaar, and have enough for another attempt now (thanks to all that wonderful stat food I can now bake - but the fish rolls sell the best - go figure).

I'll probably wait until at least this weekend to try it again.

I did try /ran 100 before I clicked combine, and only clicked when I got in the 90's...

Also, I noticed when I happened to get an MGB Hand of Virtue buff, I had like 4 skill ups on 7 tries of MTP - so maybe I"ll get that buff again - certainly can't hurt, along with KEI, and holding my geerlok. I've found the diamonds, but have not found the black sapphire and jacinth yet (except for 1300pp each - OUCH!).

I can make the seal myself - have 148 in Pottery. Though I still held my breath each time I hit combine on the wheel and the kiln.

I failed again last night... 4th time to fail.

I had a high DEX just in case that helps...

Also had my geerlok, and again, I have 250 skill.

Would it help to continue making MTP's for a while?

I'm currently down over 18K - and still need to buy another seal - or make one...
