Can anyone tell me where I can find Celestial Essence? May have missed it in trade supply listings & brewing section...any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

It's actually on the poisons page. If you click spell research component, you get a bit more info.

I buy the solvent in PoK or Bazaar, and head to EC to buy Scent of Marr (stackable) at about 1.5pp/each. This keeps making cel.ess under 2pp/ea. I'm so glad it's no-fail too.

Both the items needed for making this can be bought in the building with the Fishing pool in it in PoK. The DE vendor inside the courtyard sells Solvent and the Poison Vendor First door on the Right side of the Balcony sells Essence of whoever. If you need the combine container then another if the poison vendors in the same room sells that aswell.
Total cost for a stack of this stuff is about 32pp depending on Charisma.

And if you are looking at making a lot of Celestial Essence, epically if you need to make them over a long period of time, I would highly suggest buying a collapsible mortar and pestle. The price has dropped a lot since they first came out and being able to summon a mortar and pestle when you need it and destroy it when your done is incredibly convenient.

I got myself one of those for cost of components... I folded the metal etc. for 2 tries, got a gnome to combine. So I was out maybe 30pp, I'd have to find the old thread to be more specific.

If it is 300pp or so, like it is on my server in bazaar, I'd say skip it. Nine times out of ten when you are going to do a batch of CE, you need to go to the poison merchant anyhow.

Just buy the mortar and pestle for the 1.5pp or whatever, and sell it back when done combining. You'll lose maybe half a pp each time... and it would be forever and a day before you lost enough to make it worth buying a collapsable.

As with most things in this game, affordable and convenient are relative terms. For most 50+ players 300pp isn’t that great of a hardship. But for many 20th level characters it’s a fortune, or at least it was for me when I was 20th level. And if you only make Celestial Essence when standing at a vendor then buying and reselling the mortar and pestle each time is certainly a viable option. But if you like to carry a few stacks of supplies around for combining when waiting for a spawn or waiting for a raid to get its act together, then a collapsible mortar and pestle can come in rather handy. Besides, collapsible containers are just too cool. *smiles*

It's worth it to me for the convienience, and it is nice to destroy them .

Now I just need to collapse all my collapsable containers into 1 item, "collapsed bag of the jack of all tradeskills".

It makes a bag with all of them . Ah well, I was given the extra 8 slots in the bank, I wont complain too much .

I'm working on getting collapsibles on all my characters who actively tradeskill. Already have collapsible mortar & pestle on each character as they get to a level with essence-able research item drops. I used to keep a M&P on the character all the time, then destroy when it was time to use a different container. Then scream when I got back to OS, sans M&P.

If i had to make all those stupid essences just when i wanted to do the combines I'd never ever do them. Those things (and finding enough morning dew) make me want to quit EQ entirely.

What does tinkering have to do with Tunare? Or are you just one of those elven freaks that think that they are better than everyone else? (You aren't, no matter how you cook them, halflings are the best eats hands down)

laloin, most people that want CE in quantity don't wanna do it the slow way...

I make CE while soloing a lot, if stuff drops pages/runes etc. I just bring solvent and mortar and pestle with me. It was basically a way to make everything that drops Stack, so I can loot it all, packrat that I am.

I do sell it in bazaar for 5pp when I don't need it for my own stuff... a no fail 1.5pp vendor sold combine for 5pp.

It sells fast, and you think the guy who pays 100pp per stack just to save 10 minutes combining them wants to take a group to Seb to "farm" CE?

Anyhow, don't give him any ideas, I love that guy.
