insane skill up run

I have been collecting 250 triv pop meats from my guild for the last few months everytime i start running out of room in my "meat" bag i do a bunch of combines and feed most of the results to my guildies get a skillup or 2 and im happy.

well the other night with a 238 skill i sat down to do about 14 jord meats 6 vann toes, about 8 assorted griffon/plantshoots/anaconda meat 10ish blood raven parts 16 mephit meats and about 15 boar meat

(number are a bit off lol i wasn't paying attenion at the time)

so start with the jord meat...ohh got a skill up yeah im happy, next to blood raven i know i only had like 5-6 combines of this holy dog doogies 2 skillups

on to mephit meat 2 more skillups

/em by this time im freaking out in one of the chat channles i was on lol

the noodle dishes 1 more skill up

the boar meat and yet another skill up

and last but not least the vann toes i know i had less than 10 i want to say 7 but hang onto your hats 3 skillups back to back

by this time im freaking out i just got to 247 in bakeing in around 60 odd combines all said and done

rofl i was in shock heck lol i still am

bah need to get off my bum and make my spoon now

wow. that is positively incredible!

I got 199 and 200 on successive combines of griffon melts. i was esctatic. but your run is by far and away incredible.

Currently slogging through 199 ... 120 or so combines and counting...

Gratz on a great run.

My baking is now at 210 and i have given up on HMP.

I just did 120+ combines (only failed 4 times with 253wis and a geerlok).
I now have enough Halas 10lb Meat Pies to feed the server for a day.
What don't i have? A single skill up in all those combines!

AAAAARRRGGH! :x

I am now going to move to Holy Cake.
I have about 3 stacks of brownie parts and hopefully my luck will be better.

Following that I have about 20 stacks of items that triv >250.
(Plant Shoots seem to be the easiest and cheapest >250 item to
pick up).

I wanted to move from Fillet Meats -to- Patty Melts -to- Truffles/Cinnesticks
-to- Halas 10lb Meat Pies -to-
Holy Cake -and finally finish off with- all the >250 stacks i have picked up.

Plans change.

This is my first tradeskill i have really decided to take to 250 and its getting
frustrating. I thought my stats were good. Did i just have really bad luck?

I'm doing this primarily for the Party Platter and Trophy btw.

PS - I don't suggest trying trophy combines at around 200 skill.
It is very expensive!

Wow! And I was amazed at getting 8 skill ups on 20 pottery combines the other day in the 150 range. But to get those kinds of skill up at that stage of baking is incredible indeed. The fewer high-end components you need the bester. Congrats.

Grats on a killer run! That takes a little of the sting off of those 100+ combine runs with no skill ups.

I'm doing this primarily for the Party Platter and Trophy btw.

You might want to reconsider the purpose of your baking unless you have a source of regrua claws. Without the bucket of crab legs you are going to be pretty disappointed.
